Peixoto had a great period with Mourinho, until he got injured in that game against Marseille...i think if the coach manages to impose some discipline in him he can be of a great value in our squad

Yes, to be honest, only a guy like Mourinho can impose discipline to him.

He's way to stupid, arrogant, and acts like he's the king of the world, believe me, he's from Taipas, and so i am, and i know enough stories from him to say that he will not become the player he was when Mourinho was in charge of Porto.

Peixoto is originally a winger not a midfielder, how the hell would he take Mendes' place?
I mean, their position on the field can't even be compared :|

Anyway Peixoto is a good prospect IMO, he only needs a strong-minded coach like Mourinho was to put him on the right track, as bmpv666's mentioned.

This season he managed to score against Benfica, so his spell with Guimaraes can't have been that bad (H)

I was talking of Peixoto instead of Yakin, not Mendes (NOBODY can replace Mendes...) as I thought - Yakin being left-footed - Cesar would be a better *read:cheaper* choice for that position. Though I don't know if this Yakin fellow is a winger or not

@ RuiCosta: A man like Adriaanse might turn him into a star-player. Hell, he can turn anyone into a star-player... :)

EDIT...
Fresh from the press! Beware of my lousy translation as it's 1AM over here and I'm getting really sleepy...

Kromkamp wil naar Porto en baalt van AZ

1/6/2005 0 :35

EXCLUSIEF - Jan Kromkamp baalt.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kromkamp wants to go to Porto and is disappointed by AZ

Jan Kromkamp is disappointed. The internationalk was hoping for a dream transfer. But the Portuguese club quit negotiations because AZ holds on to its very high transfer fee. 'I'm really disappointed.'
FC Porto is looking for a new RB specialy after Giourkas Seitaridis moved to Dinamo Moscow last week. Os Dragões really want to sign Kromkmp but can't agree with AZ. The Alkmarian (?) club ask no less than € 15M for the "Fries". And that's too much for Porto's liking.

AZ is demanding the main price because the club doesn't want to lose Kromkamp. But the player himself isn't happy with that. 'I'm very disappointed,' he said to vi.nl. 'This is my big opportunity. Porto is a huge club and I really want to play there. Besides, I already know the coach,' meaning Co Adriaanse.

AZ's stance in this case is very strange because during the extension of Kromkamp's contract (he extended it a year ago untill 2008) AZ promised the defender to let him go for a lower transfer sum than the 15M the club now asks.

Although FC Porto decided to stop negotiations at present time, the quadrupile (sp?) international Kromkamp still hopes both teams can come to an agreement.

Latest bit about Kromkamp: Apparently AZ are not cooperating and are asking for an unrealistic high transfer price (15 million euros). Kromkamp said: 'Dit is mijn grote kans. Porto is een grote club en daar had ik graag voor willen spelen. En ik ken de trainer.'

Translation: 'This is my big chance. Porto is a big club and I would love to have played for them. And I know the coach.'

Tajike I thought you were talking about Mendes, sorry :p, and I agree with you about him being a really great player.
Btw Yakin is a left-footed midfielder, not a winger...that's why I think he can't be "replaced" by Peixoto on the squad ;)

About Kromkamp, f'ck the AZ board.
We sold Seitaridis for 10 million €, and they want 15 for this guy..hilarious at least.
They are a small club yet, so what is it with all this cockiness trying to overprice their players :kader:

Kromkamp has every right to be pissed off, so first they tell him there would be no problems with a future transfer for a bigger club, and now they are "cutting his legs".

Greedy b'tches :nape:

light blue? what the hell?

I think they're ugly and this season's were much cooler, but you're probably going to say I'm just saying that because I'm biased.

The publicity logo looks smaller though. What's with that?

For those who are unknowing: those kits AREN'T official yet. They're a photoshoped version of the new Hertha Berlin kit
Actualy, the model on whom they've pasted Postiga's head was non other than Bastürk
And to give my opinion: I don't like it (have to go on Virgo with this one), though the socks are class

lmao, those socks are so gay.

I'll wait for the official jersey then, I was liking this one except the logo of course.
I hate PT even more every second that goes by, obviously not just because of the logo, they are such a bunch of thieves :kader:

I also hope Benni goes some club other than Spurs, we can get good money for him which would be very welcome to purchase Mendes, and still keep some change.

P.S. Tá graaaande tosta aqui na InBicta (H)!!!!

Porto is interested in Cruzeiro's forward Fred, just heard now live in Sporttv. Olympique Marseille also on the race. What does this mean? No deal with Sokota? Or another brazilian to join the crew?

Maybe it means that Benni is really set to leave.

I've just heard that on SportTv too, I've seen him play before and seemed great, and right now he's having a great game, Cruzeiro leading 2-0 before HT, Fred with an assist and a goal.
Not a bad player at all, don't you think so Parasol?

He can easilly come here and be a "Fabiano", but you'll never know until you try

Mikey I know you can't hide forever how much you actually love Porto :hump:

Btw seeing Argel play again...the man's a true legend

As the guy on TV's just said (and this is the one that agrees with every refereeing decision in Brazilian games, no matter how bad the call is :|):

"Com Argel se passa a bola, não passa o homem"

The real Hitman (H)

In your dreams pal, only in your dreams.

(It's called Liga de Honra [League of Honour], now your future Porto flaming will even sound better)

Just saw on TV that Sokota has signed a 4 year contract with us tonight.

And another rumour: Alan, a winger from Maritimo.
And yes, he's brazillian too :fluffy:

EDIT to say the Sokota deal is confirmed on the club's website, available to read in portuguese only (by now).
