CEP has officially moved on Sweetpatch:

New site is http://www.fifa-mra.com/CEP and old site will feature a redirect option within hours. Version 0.11 is completed and I started the deep-testing phase. Release date is confirmed on 3th February.

In which way is the freezing during transfer going to be solved/limited in version 0.11?


This as it is the only - but a major - bumber in the otherwise by far best patch ever released for Fifa.
If the problem still exists, it will let lots doubt wether or not to start a career that they might won't be able to finish due to the freezing problem.

- fixing some errors and incongruences in the db that could have caused the freezings.
- raising retirement age for all the players.
- fixing duplicated jersey numbers and team position of players in db.
- fixing some international countries wrong assignments inside db.
- fixing the presence of too much free agents players.

I'm in contact with Fifa authors too to understand what can cause the problem and to release a freeze-free version of CEP. Anyway, during this 3 days I'll test the game deeply simulating careers in many leagues to see if there are problems. There is the possibility that the CEP will limitate the career to 8/9 years instead of 15, this to avoid the problem with too much regenerated players.

Did you get any word on Donovan regarding the Concafaf teams(countries in the central american region such as Panama, Honduras, El Salvador etc...)
In the last version i downloaded the countries were counted in the read me file even though they don't appear in your web page.
Anxiously waiting on the best patch ever.

Still no new about CONCACAF patch. I think it will be included in 0.12.
The readme of the last version showed these countries as national teams, because they are present in CEP.

While trying to get "legendary difficulty level", I decided to try completing every challenge in zone 8 & found the following bug:
When going to "My Fifa-Challenges-Zone 8-Club America Championship", the game crashes back to desk-top.

Yep I know about this: some competitions, having changed, have now a different id: American Championship is now properly Copa Libertadores and has a new id; I should be able to fix this for next version having all the challenges working.

Very great Patch OchHAM... I just want you and your team to work more on the game-play phase... I mean try making it more realistic, slower and more into thinking and tactical movements instead of the fast phase that the PC do when passing the ball (for example)!

I have the language patch released a couple of months ago already installed and it calls American Championship, Copa Libertadores. Will both patches work together or shall uninstall the language patch

All FIFA languages will be included in next CEP version. You'll just have to double click the CEP exe file.

Is there a way to install like before without using the exe file or install it to a custom directory without it beginning to overwrite everything like the fifa.db and config.dat and such? I have hundreds of new GK kit, third kit, player shoes references that I don't want to loose in my db. I can of course backup everything to another disk and let it install but then I'm going to need days to puzzle everyting together again (I wonder why I hate self installing patches lol)

Yes, you can point through the exe file to an empty/custom directory, and then copy the files where you want.

CEP version 0.11 is ready and is being tested: will be released tonight on Sweetpatch website. As I read many posts on these forums about "best" patches for Fifa 2006 I'll post the super-short description of what is included in version 0.11 so I'll let the informations speak about this argument...

AUTHOR'S NOTE
The CEP is the most innovative patch ever realized for a soccer game: some "technical discoveries" allow to expand the game without limits, differently than what happened until the CEP for Fifa patches that always have only improved and replaced: the CEP creates and adds, and this is its greatest new element. The realization of this patch showed how good is the capacity of collaboration and organization of the Fifa editing community: all the sites that have been contacted to be part of this ambitious project gladly accepted to share their capacities to create the definitive patch for soccer games: instead of cultivating the particularism of the single, limited patches, the CEP allow to all the editors to be integrant part of an unique and impressive patch for number of informations and graphical elements. The CEP is thus a project that hopes to join all the best efforts in the Fifa editing to go in the direction of a single great elite team that for every Fifa version can work on a must-have add-on.
I have to note, as author of this project, that just one site refused the collaboration with CEP, making its particolaristic and limited sense of "jelousy" win against the principles of collaboration for the fifa community: it's the italian site fifamania.it whose decision represents the only sad episode of close-source and opposition to the great dream of having a single great add-on for Fifa. The editing capacities of many collaborators have, of course, resolved the problem with this little deny.

It's not fair to start a hatred campaign against Fifamania Italia, a site that I know and respect for many years. We live in a free world, and if they refuse to co-operate in this project, it's their full right and they don't deserve to be dragged through the mud like they are in your "author's note".

You're making the exact same mistake as you did with Sundsvall in the beginning of this thread, as long as people do what you want everything is ok, but if they do something you don't want, then they're either fascists or cockblockers. You're wrong.

I mean you are great at mobilising people and making your CEP patch, and I use it in my game myself and I love it but you should be more diplomatic and reasonable. There have been misunderstandings between you and Fifamania, but nothing has been done that can't be repaired, and I'm sure that with a bit of diplomacy and mutual understanding (they are a bit protective about their superpatch files, you are very open-source minded) you can all agree on something and might get the authorisation to include their excellent material in the CEP, in both parties intrest, no in the whole Fifa community intrest even...

Billy, if you don't know what are we talking about it's better to don't express an opinion on it: it's just a fact: it's the only one site who did not want to cooperate in any way, and if this is not enough they did me make the work of adaption to change idea after the work completion (without considering the lazy humorism and free criticism that main member of that community showed against me): I'm writing in the note about a great proyect profile, showing the future scenarios and the possibility to join efforts in a single great work for the fifa community, it's just the truth that this community is the only one that did not help the development of this work.

Regarding "Sundsvall" mistakes you should take a look at other posts too where he and other fifasweden members insulted me for free writing that I "stole" materials from other projects (thing that has never been true): now we are even in collaboration and Sundsvall is a great friend, but this thing doesn't change the fact that they were lying about my work in the past, and this was just another truth.

So please inform yourself before giving me instructions on how I have to coordinate this proyect and on what is wrong or right: the facts speak by themselves without many comments. And inform about the truth has not the same meaning of making an "hate" campaign: please use these words for more important matters. I'm sure it's that italian site that have lost a possibility to increase its notiorety and quality, and for me the case is closed since January of this year: other editors from more open-minded websites provided a better help for the little section of italian leagues.

BTW, I do know what happened on Fifamania as I go daily there and I translate almost every post from italian to english so I have a pretty good idea of what has been the problem, and imo there has been some miscommunication at a certain moment, where you decided to remove the material in version 0.9 again that you thought you had permission to use in the first place.

And make no mistake, I am not telling you what to do, or anyone else for that matter, I just make a constatation and see that there has been a missed opportunity, nothing less, nothing more.

I don't think the case is closed for you yet, as you wrote in the above post though, as you still have to mention them in your author's note, if case would be closed you would just ignore them instead of trying to kick their ass in your notes I guess they will love the free publicity.
