Okay right, thanks. I thought you were suggesting team pass style affects to what degree CPU players will continually run with the ball.AndreaPirlo21;3337052 said:Shorter passes= slower build-up.

bangus;3337048 said:Okay. So formation changes cause CPU players to stop running around so much, is that what you're saying? The passing I don't get, why would editing team passing style affect individual player movement and behavior?
rc, if you're not going to post your fix, could you at least post a video of this CPU player behavior in action? If you in fact have accomplished this with your edits, it's huge. In twenty years of video football gaming, no game developer has been able to program this into their game. It would be a major breakthrough in football gaming, please share something here, thanks.regularcat;3337045 said:what i am saying is i have players stopping and shielding the ball while he determines where he needs to go with the ball so you cannot take possession away.
it is happening in both the midfield and attacking areas of the pitch, the better and smarter the player the more it happens, but it does in fact happen.

You've slowed the game down nicely, but at the same time it still has much of the free-flow and openness the default game has. It's difficult to understand anyone complaining that the game is too slow, it feels much like the original gameplay, just tighter defensively. Your CPU defenders are nice and aggressive as well, makes for a real challenge.
As I mentioned to Fidel, my preference would be to have players rated in speed all the way up to 99. I make those edits myself so it's not a problem. I'm just thinking it's something you might want to consider: keep the average base speed that you have for most players (30-45), but then have the top 100-200 speed players rated for 45-99. Same with agility maybe. Just something to consider.
Great job man.

I need to get this game playable.

Haha, that's one one the reasons I always lower agility in these games by 50% at least, can't stand jerky player animations. I think the highest I have agility in my game is 69, any higher and the animations are crappy like you said. But I do feel the top 5-10% of players should be rated higher in agility to give the gameplay a bit more variety. Just my opinion.AndreaPirlo21;3337487 said:Thanks bangus, I think I'll change the sprint speed/acceleration, but if you increase agility, the players' legs move to fast and jerky.
Skeptikz;3338084 said:Hi...1st of all just gotta say great work on this mod so far - you have transformed FIFA into something that actually feels like football now! I have been searching to find a way to start a player career mode with this database. I just need to edit the starting stats for "my pro" as well as the starting stats for any generated players. Do you have any idea which files are used for these??

I.E. Shaktar Donetsk, BATE Borisov etc...
Sieniek;3339667 said:Hi AndreaPirlo21, can I be a beta tester as well? I will give you as good feedback as I can.
Also I tested your beta 2 gameplay and I think that players need a little better control on the ball, better technique because it is very hard to win 1 on 1 with the defender even if I control players like messi. Second thing which I think need a little fix is too less difference between players in abilities, shot power, control the ball, its very hard to see how messi is better than other players on the field. The third thing is goalkeepers...they have too fast and too good reactions. They need to be toned down because scoring from 30m in real life football is possible. Those my feedback for start. I believe that I can help with making this gameplay perfect because what you have done at the moment with beta 2 is just simply amazing. Game is so real... very good job man. Sorry for my english
One more thing...CPU AI play to defensively sometimes like parking the bus and overall CPU defensive is a little too hard to brake.

Skeptikz;3339807 said:Thanks for the reply....thats amazing news can't wait!
I also have some more General feedback:
With the english lower leagues and some premier league teams (west ham & stoke for example) I would like to see more long balls played in to the center forwards...i played a game against stoke where they played a more direct style late on in the game but for the majority of the game everything was played on the floor. In reality, West Ham & Stoke are playing more good football in recent times but the long ball is something that they will go to quite often (Stoke has the tallest team in Europe!).
I haven't played so much against lower league English teams so I am just presuming (maybe wrongly) that this will be the same... though there are always exceptions - Swansea play a high passing game and Ian Holloway's teams will always play an expansive game on the floor (now Crystal Palace).
In any case though I am really enjoying playing 11 vs 11 against the CPU which is something I havent done on a Fifa game for a long long time!
