The only team that probably won't take it seriuosly is Liverpool. All the other teams consider this to be a prestigious trophy.

yeah, weird actually. I guess the european teams feel they are 'above' it or something. Or perhaps they just got CL and their own league to focus on .

I doubt it. I'm pretty sure the Japanese will go nuts for this and sell out every game and creating great atmospheres which can make even really ****ty games seem pretty good.

BTW Al Ittihad's manager is Anghel Iordanescu, former Steaua player and assistant manager for Steaua when we won the CL in 1986 so I'm slightly biased for them :)

well m8, the japanese are really enthusiastic indeed but I feel the teams in it won't make it very exciting to watch.....

either way, Saprissa will clinch it :lui:

as long as the bambis don't win it, I'm good... sure it'd be nice for boasting if Liverpool won it, as people here in Brazil tend to give this title an importance greater than the world cup at times, but I don't really care... I just don't want to hear bambis getting all over me saying how they're the best team in the universe...

How does anyone rate Pierre Littbarski as a manager (Sydney FC)?

I think Liverpool will have the talent and class to win, if they bother trying.

Would you be saying that if Chelsea was in it with a chance to add to their silverware?
Yes, because it would be during our campaign to win something that matters like the EPL or FA Cup.

Nice that FSC has coverage of this, it will be interesting to see who comes out on top. Something tells me that Liverpool won't win it. Perhaps Sao Paulo?
