28 goals in 11 months is a record any striker would want man.

And that post is just going to provoke Drogba bashers who has been doing his job (scoring).

Yeah, 11 goals in 14 matches is an amazing achievement for a midfielder. And does it really matter who scores your teams goals? Football matches are won by 11 players, not one.

How big is YOUR penis?
Ronaldinho for sure, that ****er maybe one ugly looking ****er, but damn he`s good.

Lampard, hands down for the 160 straight games record, but sorry son, you`re competing with a guy who raped defenses with a grind on a constant basis.

Eto`o, everyone knows without Ronaldinho as his servant he won`t be able to do much.

So, Ronaldinho, anyone else wins it will be an insult to football, I mean the dude can send passes with his back and freeze Carvalho and Cech with a shake of his ass :|:|:|

BS.

Watched Liverpool lately? Fact is they are statistically a better side WITHOUT Gerrard.
Statistically, maybe... but does that mean Rafa would be better off benching him? The problem with statistics in this scenario is that Gerrard plays a lot of games, leaving the number of matches in which he doesn't play quite small.. and also, when he is rested, it's usually against weaker opposition...

Basically, what statistics show is that Gerrard lost when Liverpool were beaten by Chelsea, and when he didn't play against the pub team down the road Liverpool won, so Gerrard is a bad player...

Yea, Gerrard is sh*t.

Gerrard is a gun, but obviously you don't read anything else what anyone says on this forum and just single out one post. My point is people say Gerrard carries your team, which I don't think he does. People also say he is better than Lampard, yet he never proves it. I accept the notion he has more natural talent then Lampard, however he isn’t proving why people think he is better.

While statistics in some instances lie, I will use last year in the EPL, as both were fit and it is a much more fair comparison. Lampard scored more then Gerrard (13 to 7), he had more shots, and a higher shooting accuracy. He also had 18 assists to Gerrards 4, he made more tackles in defence (113 to 138) and he even made more tackles then Makelele, he also blocked more shots than Gerrard (15 to 5) and was fouled less, yet had 3 more yellow cards. The only thing Gerrard had better was his chance conversion rate, which was 12% to 11%.

This post here and the one you quoted was merely in response to the claim Gerrard carries Liverpool and Lampard doesn’t, making him a lesser player, despite the fact that facts prove Lampard does more for his side.

I don't think that Lampard not carrying Chelsea makes him a lesser player... after all, it's much harder to carry a team where Wright-Phillips is a bench warmer than the one where Traore is a regular presence... Carrying a team is much more about the team than the player, at least in my view... Gerrard took a team of average players to the CL title, and that's why I think he carries the team. if he played the same way for Chelsea, he wouldn't carry them, as Chelsea have better players... Lampard can do more for his side than Gerrard (and be a better player, maybe), and still not carry them...

You think Gerrard doesn't carry Liverpool, and to prove that you posted about stats... I think he does, and posted about how sometimes stats can be inaccurate... I didn't mean anything negative about your post

If this award is about the best player in world football, give it to Ronaldinho. Lampard has been good for Chelsea, but in England colours, he is absolute rubbish. His combination with Beckham and Gerrard in midfield is atrocious, they keep getting in each others' way, none of them have a clue what they are doing. If it was based purely on club form, I'd have no problems with giving it to Lampard, although I would prefer Dinho. However, if national team form is also considered, then it would be stupid to give it to Lampard. Dinho for me.

As for Eto'o, if you give it to him you're just giving it to Dinho, albeit indirectly.

The only carrying that goes on at Liverpool is Crouch giving piggy backs to Benitez.

maybe someone should open a Gerrard vs Lampard thread :p because we all know how popular they are.

p.s. my vote would go to ronaldinho. although i love frankie, ever since his days at west ham holding down the midfield for me in fifa 2000 (H)

LAMPARD!

- Works hard, wins the ball.
- When the going gets tough, he gets going.
- Has played millions of matches in a row.
- Always puts in.
- Is completely both footed.
- Scores a goal a game from MC.
- Tackles great, defends.
- Creates. Scores.

In the CL last week, he tackled, won the ball, then delivered a PERFECT, LEFT FOOT cross to Crespo which made a goal, and no one made a big deal.

Ask me, big Frankie.

Ronaldinho is a poon. "Oh I like making people happy..." Shut the hell up, and close your mouth.

He is more talented than Lampard, but when he does something and everyone acts like he is a god. Lampard performs more consistently, works harder and gets more results.

Don't forget, Lampard scores amazing goals too, in addition to consistency, defending, regular goals and assists and decent dentistry.

The hype around Ronaldinho (yes he is good) is only matched by how much Lampard is neglected by many.

The Barcelona game at Stamford Bridge for example, people mention Ronaldinho was brilliant scored a penalty and a fantastic goal, not one person mentions this

- Lampard dispossessed, then instantly distributes the ball in a ruthless fashion that led to Gudjohnsens first goal
- Then scored himself
- Blocked several shots, and provided a defensive element others like Ronaldinho didn’t

Proving his ability of scoring, creating, defending and doing everything asked of him by his team game after game. When he has a bad game by his standards it is still a good game. The next CL game we have, he scored a double on his left foot, twice, first out side the box off balance, then THAT goal in the box and then delivered a perfect corner to Drogba to score. If Ronaldinho did that, who knows ....

Overated? No
Overlooked? Yes
The most valuable player in world football? Without a doubt.

A report done by Mourinho and his scouts over the Newcastle game.

I think its only a small piece and theres more, and it appears to be a draft as Shearer and Owen didnt play.

Rob, you keep saying the same things over and over.
we know of Lampards skills, and how you feel about him, but it's not likely that he will be named world player cause of the kind of player he is, you just have to deal with that.

Well, he did score 5 goals for England and was a very direct reason for England to go to the World Cup, so I wouldn't say he's been rubbish.
