Good. I wanted him to get suspended will teach him a lesson to respect his bosses. He's not even the best player in MLS, and he's the highest paid :sb9: .

if Adu is not playing is because he has not earned a spot in the team. Novak's job is to win, last yr they won the league, this yr they are doing well, he is not going to play Adu and mess that up.
Adu needs to suck it up and earn it. :boohoo:

Yea, Donovan makes more. Maybe Eddie Johnson aswell.
1. Francisco Palencia - $1,300,000 (going back to Chivas Mexico because they need him)
2. Juan Pablo Garcia - $1,000,000 (tie)
Eddie Johnson - $1,000,000 (tie)
4. Landon Donovan - $900,000
5. Freddy Adu - $500,000

DC, Kansas City, Revs, Rapids need to start planning now. I hate the idea of MLS teams playing in football stadiums.

The Revs don't really need their own stadium since they already own the one they plan in. The Revs alway been at the top at making profits, the only thing they have to do is get attendence up, but like alot of fans I don't go to games were our top players are stolen by the national team to end up being benched the whole game(MLS should follow FIFA calander).

The Revs dont own it by themselves. They play in a football stadium owned by the New England Patriots. I know its convenient for them to play there, but do you like seeing football lines?

And the only way to get attendance up is to build a soccer specific stadium.

The Revs rarly have any football line on the field just logos, they paint the lines after their game, and by next home game the lines are gone by mowing the grass or painting them green.

Again, not true. The true reason that Adu is not playing is because Nowak has something against Adu; they don't get along.

This season Adu got benched every time he had a brilliant game. Have you even seen any D.C. United games this season?

Did England start off in 1905 with the EPL, Championship, 1st div, 2nd div, conference, 20 teams per division, with relegation and promotion?

No, but America's format could be better. 1 division of 12 teams, top 2 play-off. Bottom 2 go down and get replaced by a team that deserves to go up.

let see.. DC won the league last season. And they are in the playoffs and finished 2nd in their conference this yr. I don't get your point. Obviously Novak thinks his team is better with Adu in the bench, that tells me that Adu is not earning it in practice. So unless you're there watching them practice daily.. :boohoo:

The problem is, in America league structures are set up so that owners are guarenteed that their teams will stay in the top division of that particular sport. No American owner would be willing to accept the idea of his team being demoted to a "minor" league. Also, most of the lower-level teams have terrible facilities. In soccer, for example, some teams in leagues below MLS play in high school football stadiums. In England, I'm sure that some teams in the Championship get 25,000 fans a match. In America, most minor league soccer teams get maybe 1,000, if they are lucky, and promotion to MLS probably wouldn't increase it all that much.

I could say more, but the basic idea is that in American sports culture, teams are guarenteed their place in a specific league, no matter how poorly they play. I know it sucks, but we're stuck with it.

Adu isn't earning his place in practice.

He's earning them on the pitch during games. And ends up being benched, anyways. THAT is my point.
