just play fifa06 demo, the players are really funny from physical and outlook aspects.
Agree that the gameplay has been improved from fifa05, but still can't match WE.

I'm leaving Konami's WE series as well to get a new RTWC FIFA 06 on XBOX 360 around December. I don't know if I made the right decision.

FIFA06 feels so disjointed, some times excellent, sometime horribly average; especially when scoring goals. When you score its cool that you're winning but its definitely not convincing, its not a goal that you would see on a football pitch.

Play the Fifa06 demo then play a game of PES4, there's still no comparison.

Yup, same here. At first I also was pleasently surprised and thought - at last.
Unfortunately after 3 days of intesively playing demo I understand that first impression was deceptive. Although some improvements ar obvious (passing less scripted, more natural animations), the overall gameplay gets tedious fast. Most goals are really similar like drops of water. Shooting animation even worse. Dribbling ends up with you making loads of stepowers and some fancy looking tricks which however applies for eye kandy rather than actual gameplay. Tactics are non existent. Players are impersonal.
Lots of thing I thought might be changed are not.

/most probably sticks with we/pes for one more year

dont you guys just get it? he doesnt like FIFA06 he's just upset about making the editing harder. I dont want to start having a discussion about advantages and disadvantages as people who really understand football truly know. So long Wolf and all you guys cheer up!! There are other patchers as well. You think Wolf is the only one out there? He's made a great contribution but others will rise so cheer up!

And play WE9 or PES for 3 months at least and then judge. The changes arent very obvious they have a lot of depth, believe you'll see!

Anyhow cant wait till October for PES

i must say something. all of you say that pes is realistic. are you joking? just see a match in TV and compare them. the players doesnt know to walk,they are doing about 5 steps for 1 meter! too bad.
and so so so unrealistic shots.

This makes my day to hear, Wolf. I really agree with you on all the points you made, especially all the different versions of the game. But if you're still going to be making patches, then I'm still going to be playing PES/WE, or whatever its freakin called.

I don't agree with the point about Konami bringing out numerous versions a year. Fifa do exactly the same, except they try and be clever about it. They just call it UEFA Champions League or World Cup 2006.

Very good point. Both Konami and EA do the exact same thing to make money, they just go about it slightly differently, as you pointed out.

I guess wolf's back as the fifa 06 demo extender has shown it up for what it really is, a childs tappy tappy football game!

I haven't played PES4 for a while ever since the time I wasted on the commentry patch, but I had a go after playing the fifa demo.

And my god what a difference, I can forgive pes4 for it's shortfalls after comparing it to that fifa crap.

Hope the audio structure in PES5 is better, and maybe just maybe I can finish my fifa commentry patch! sigh!

Our point was not that PES is realistic. But that PES is realistic....COMPARED to other football titles. Hope that explains it milan.
