I think it's a very good soccer game, but the goalkeeper seems kinda bad. Graphics are really good, with help from Demo Expander. I've got much more to tell, but I want to play, so see ya!

How do you like the DEMO?

Amen to that. Try playing on even semi-pro and it seems almost impossible to score. One fault I have though and someone else mentioned it is the player's response time. While you start sprinting and then you look to turn inside the defender it takes about 3 seconds for the player to respond and by that time the defender is on you. Maybe that's why it's so hard to break down defences.

the tackless is the best improvment overall
demo is terrible and if ea released this demo to impress us they failed

The more I play this game the more I realize that my expectations were way too high. Very depressing.
I would so love to play a good football game!
Is PES better? And when is it coming out on PC?

I agree. The tackles are very much improved...but other than that it feels way too much like last year´s game.

That´s what we always do...we get the demo, we are dissapointed and we wait for the final release. But the final release is always the same as the demo.

More stuff...
Just watched a CPU vs CPU game, 10 mins halfs on World Class to check out how good a game of football EA have made (I need something to do to avoid these essays!)
Final score Juve 6 Milan 5
- Like someone has stated before all of the goals were through balls from midfield to a striker or attacking mid
- Left and right mids always made bee-lines for the six yard box
- All out attack for the whole time, never once seen a central midfielder put their foot on the ball
- Not one cross
- Plus all the stuff I said a couple of posts ago

I hope they will release a demo soon. Because I´m cancelling my order on Fifa tomorrow. Dissapointing, but perhaps PES will save the day!
this demo didnt impress me at all. Overall feeling is the same as fifa03 except slightly better passing and possibility to header.
All other options like the free kicks, corners etc are nice new features but dont add noting to the gameplay.
Gameplay is still not enjoyable for me. I can't make quick passes like in we7. The organics movement sometimes reduces the reaction time, but overall its still slow at times.
And if you pass the ball high the receiving player always travels at lightning speed just to be at the right spot for the duel or to chest the ball. So you hardly can make a wrong long pass, only if you do it really on purpose. That gives me a scripted feeling again.
Overall I miss the freedom like in we7.
And its way to easy to score. There still to much help in shooting system, It seems that you always hit the target as long as you dont get the power bar in the red part. In pro level I still won 5-0. havent tried world class yet, but i shouldnt be so easy to win anyway.
Good thing is that you finally can see different skills in player. Nedved can turn and dribble faster with the ball than a simple defender..
oh well ill wait for pes3.

Graphics are good, but that's about it. Gameplay isn't much improved from 2003 imo, I got bored with it after a few matches. I think it's time for EA to create a new engine, because this one's just not good enough.
- OTB is unrealistic as someone here said. However, I do need to try and play with it some more.
- Most of the shots are just pathetic (balls do NOT curl this way in real life). Also, there seems to be some kind of a mystic ball-magnet just in front of the goal line... What's up with that?
- Goalkeepers. They never drop the ball, and when saving shots, they always seem to push the ball out of danger somehow. Not to mention the "superman" jumps that someone here already talked about.
- Corner system. I don't recall seeing 2 players fighting over a position in real life, while the rest of the players on the pitch are just standing and watching. Looks plain stupid if you ask me.
- Even basic stuff such as high through balls are practically impossible to perform. The through ball button itself just doesn't act like a through ball button should act. If it's called a "through" ball, why is it always going straight to the foot of the player? And where exactly is the promised 1-2 pass option (maybe I haven't found it yet)?
- Crosses are too basic. Take WE for example: you can choose wether to do a near post cross, a far post cross or a low cross. In Fifa, all you get is one kind of a cross, and you can hardly control any of its parameters. You just press the button and hope for the best.
- Steel nets = bleh. I think people underestimate the effect of a nice, soft net. Even the one from Fifa 2000 would've been better than this.
- The crowd still sounds like a bunch of screaming american kids. It's nice that EA recorded some team specific chants, but the real problem here is the basic crowd noise, which sounds very far from anything that is european and/or adult...
And the list goes on and on.
In conclusion: I've been playing WE2002 recently, and it is way more fun/realistic than this. Hopefully, PES3 will sell lots and copies, forcing EA to completely rebuild the FIFA series. Personally, I can't wait for PES to get here already.
