How to: Convert .o files to .3ds?

1 - Use OIFTool to convert from o. file to .oif file
2 - Import the oif. file using the Zmodeler software.
3 - In this software export each part to 3ds file.
4 - Open the 3ds file in rhino and do what do you want!

yep but he wants it without the useage of oiftool ;)

but thats a nice tut. i tried it a long time ago and it was nice experice. but i selected all parts and than i exported at 1nce nt seprately......... i am nt saying u did seprately bt i am saying this for numb ;)

i know this way already, but i'm not quite sure why 'm experiencing problems when i re-import .oif file to .o. Let me show some images to you:

NORMAL VERSION OF m200__.o:



VERSION OF m200__.o after using OIF TOOL:



You see. Everything is black. So when i import files in fifa, when playing a match every player is black with no texture on it (no hands, legs just head) . And this issue is not only for kits.

Mate, sorry for interference, but I read in somewhere that when you use OIFtool, it something like reverse the shine and shadow areas, so, what you have to do is: Follow the steps twice, and after that edit with 3ds.

Now, I can't corroborate that becouse I cant reimport .oif into .o file, OIFTool asks a base .o that I dunno what it is. So I ask you explainme how do you reimport .oif into .o file :blush:

the base is the .o file in which u want to import the oif to. i will try this method and will post back the result ;)

same here mate, the thing is that converting the .o file to 3ds and 3dm is nt a problem, it can be done easily using Blender and well i think there is no need to mention 3ds max cause it can, the trouble is converting from .3ds/.3dm to .o file. But well someday i am sure v will break the code ;)

uihm...can you send me that o file, where all is black, i have an idea, so i can try to solve the problem.

yes , that file.I had same problem with old .o file for balls and solved with ludo o fileworker...maybe can work with m200 body file.

Ludo, but no longer do your fifadata? It was an excellent program, quickly and accurately to update the DB, I miss it! :blush:

Fifa Master by RINALDO makes the same thing much better!

What about an update for O Files Worker?
I have noticed that it can import .o parts even though there are differences between the number of vertices,this means that the import code really forces the import of the part. Can it be used to force from other files kinds lije .OBJ? -you included a code that can "transcript" from .O to .OBJ, so can it be used in reverse way considering that is just logical?
