Japanese commentary?

The first official patch. It's the patch that has fixed everything for for me. Not much slowdown, no random crashes, no looping when I use it. And now you can fix the collars too with it

can someone help me install it ? I tried both methods and I think screwed up the data file...

When I open up the 160game_snd.afs, I get a 160game_snd_0.afs, I get 160game_snd_1.afs and I get 160game_snd_2.afs and a lot of other files, First I had a tough time fitting it all, so I did regenreate but I think i may have somehow ruined the data file because its now much less Mb's/

any help would be appreciated.

can someone please do a step by step and EVERY step, and please mention the program you are using.

I have tried over and over but nothing.

My explaination on page 8 has every step. You must use AFSExplorer 2.0 or newer.

When I tried to use AFSExplorer 2.0, I got a few errors, coherency errors, also said my file was corrupt, but it is not for sure. 2 or 3 errors.

this is what i did.
1- open AFSExtract
2- Open data_e.afs
3- Highlight (dont expand) 160game.afs
4- in the right column, scroll down and select 160game_snd.afs
5- import the 160game_snd.afs from the japanese commentary you downloaded.
6- once that is done highlight 170demo.afs and import the downloaded file

thats how i did it and it works like a dream.

Have you try repair archive with winRAR? Anyway it all worked fine for me first time with no errors.

actaully I didn't have the intro on at first, but the english guys are at the intro, at half time, at the end of the game, and when a goal is scored. Its japanese commentary the rest of the time.

you didn't imported correctly [170demo.afs] file
try my method few pages back, it worked for me and two of my mates

@Teen Dolphin: I got no idea how miracle you imported [170demo.afs] as usual, though this file is bigger than original! Maybe you modified reserved space in your data_x.afs before importing Japanese Commentary?

oh, this is annoying.

whenever I regenerate, the game will not start.
It actually caused clusters on my computer as well.


So can someone tell me the exact number that the things have to be raised, is it that ?

follow the stuff from Keemo, and it did it fine, it actually said imported and didnt say anything.
I tried to play the exe of the game but then nit doesn't start.

it says 3d couldn't be initialized, etc.

really weird.

as I was saying I had the first file working, because I heard Japanese during most of the game, but not during intro, half, end, goals, but when I tried to insert the demo part I ruined the thing.

If Keemo or someone could guide me through it, if you have MSN, because I would really like to have this file, it adds a lot to the environment of the game. (maybe I am messing one thing up that someone didn't write down.

or if someone has some file where I dond have to import something that would even be better.

Dont know how else to help you except sending my entire AFS file to you and that's way too big of a file. What I explained in my post is all I know. The whole process was quite simple to me, since your having so many problems it might be related to your computer itself or who knows what.

It's a new computer so I doubt it.

At first, when I was about to install I got those prompts to pop up, but looking back now I did it wrong.

This time though, I re-installed the game, I importa and follow the instructions, I dont have to regenerate or anything, which is weird. It says it was succesful.

When I go to my game though and click on the exe it will not go in, the game no longer works.

So I'm totally confused.

So if someone has some file where you dont have to import, please share.

or if someone has something else to add, I would really appreciate it.

no i didnt modify anything, i just did as i said and it worked.

I dont know if this will help anyone figure this out:

I get this error when opening the data_e.afs file with AFSExplorer 2.0

Coherence Error: Overlapped files found in descriptors.
AFS file is corrupted.
Do you want to load the file anyway ?

Then:

Failed reading sub-AFS "020boot_0.afs". Do you want to continue anyway ?


This is all after re-installing.

I am able to start the game and everything, dont get crashes, it starts normally, so I dont know why its saying this.

You should try to download the data_e.afs archive from PES Korea, it works perfectly . The only problem is that some menus are in Japanese/Korean (don't know exactly) . Do you know which file I have to replace in order to have the English menus back ?

Could you please put here link to PES Korea ? (I mean direct links to patches, because I cannot find its in this type of language)

As far I remember, they are authors of some kind of megapatch to PES 3 PC, in theory available on this site:

but most of links there doesn't work (when I type this, none of them doesn't work but somewhen I downloaded few parts - 1, 2, 3 and 14 & 15)
just click one of them, you'll be redirected to another site (I got no idea what is it, it's in Korean probably)

to clarify: I have/use Japanese Commentary now from Lomungtung ftp, and it's brilliant !
I just wanted to try these Korean patches but unfortunately there are no Korean ppl on this forum (hmm I think there is one but I don't remember exactly) so no one can translate any parts of these kind of sites

I think they applied the same "Japanese Commentary" patch as you , and they made other modifications (the Title Screen, for example, is different) . But I don't know which modifications exactly...
