Geez. Some of you guys are so damn defensive. No one is saying that you shouldn't buy the game. Look at the alternative here in the States. As a matter of fact, I encourage everyone to buy a copy so KONAMI will bring WE7 in the future. I am just upset at the laziness of KONAMI for not improving WE6I from PES2. They should have just told us that it is a direct port of PES2 instead of saying it is an Americanized version of WE6.

i kinda agree with you, all i've been hearin are complaints... every time i read a complaint i get less and less excited :( wtf? did EA send their ppl here or what?

my 2 cents? i'm happy, i'm just happy. I don't care which WE6 version it is as long as it gets here.

Forget all this bad mouthing Konami. You're complaining about a patched warez version. When your PS2 reads a Cd instead of a DVD there are certain problems in some games. I have friends who have a bunch of copied PS2 games and some of them won't work at all without glitching up. The PS2 was designed to read DVDs and when the code is spread across different sectors of the disk and somebody rips it to a CD format, it often screws up - hence hang ups!

Wait until the final version then come on here and bitch about the game. Until then, you're just talking BS!

LOL you obviously don't have a clue what you're talking about. Did you know that PES2 was released on the warez scene 25 days before it went retail? And it was EXACTLY the same game as in stores except the multilanguage commentary was ripped. But even the dvd-r release of the game was the same as the retail copy that hit the stores 25 days later.

I was one of those who complained about the game (WE6:I) and I don't have a 'patched warez version', it's the FULL DVD RETAIL which also was released on the warez scene. I DO NOT have the warez copy, mine is a reviewer's copy. Also by reading your arguments let me point out that you know nothing about the gaming scene overall. Do you think reviewer's have to wait til the store releasedate in order to review a game? They get the games approximately two weeks before so they have time to play and review them. These copies are ALWAYS retail, I got my copy from a friend who is a reviewer for a magazine. These reviewer's copies are the ones released on the scene. Please try to understand this mate. Finally, what you say about dvdrips hanging on the PS2.. what is this man, who do you work for? I have friends who have chipped PS2's and all their dvdrips work flawlessly, so what the problem is?

Exactly my point, fully agree. Buy the game, but to us who have played WE6:FE and PES2 it's such a disappointment. It's still a good game but no improvements from PES2 whatsoever but it is a 1000x better than FIFA.

I don't think WE6I is available yet in the stores (North America). Pl@tinum where do you live ? In the US ? Canada ? Did you get the game outside North America ?

I take it that that post was to me.

To answer your question; I would upload some screens if I had a tvcard or capper.

The title screen where the "Press any button" blinks is like the one in WE6:FE where Beckham takes a corner, only difference is that it says "Winning Eleven 6: International". The menu is just like the one in PES2 exept it says "Winning Eleven International". Same music and all. The intro is the same as in WE6:FE except there's music instead of the japanese guy talking.

For gameplay screens find some PES2 gameplay screens, you don't see any difference.

lol indeed, I have played this game now and it is PES2 with real names and 60hz.

Why the noob us community should get anything more then the euro community retail wise is beyond me?

either way its still a FIFA stomper

Let's get some focus here.

At the end of the days guys, I would take PES1 over FIFA 2003. PES2 whether it's been dressed up and passed off as WE6:Int is ok with me. At last we have something to play which is a great soccer game.

If it does well here then we'll get WE7 and all the future releases. Konami have already said on more than one occasion they are going to review the license with Sony as they are realizing they can make more with multi-format than them oney Sony are paying them to keep the game exclusive.

Think about it, by the end of the year we could have Konami on PC, X-box, PS2 and the Gamecube all across the world.

WE6I is already released in Asia since 24th Feb 2003.
The orginal version is already in the stores so is the DVDr versions that can be played on moulded PS2 sets.

Bascially it defers from WE6FE ,it has that PES2 feeling while playing.Somehow when the game is converted to the english lang it just tend to be quite different in the game play.

Somehow comparing WE6FE and WE6I the former beats the latter by the speed and handling of the game.it's weird why Konami does not tweak the game to the same values for the WE6I so that the fans in North America can have a taste of what we in Asia are getting ... Sigh .. Seem no news on WE7 on their offical site sigh..
