Just played We6 International

The only thing I'm concerned about right now is whether or not there are serious slowdowns that adversely effect gameplay.

mmmm ... my nature language isn't english, but i think i made it clear in my 1st post, your just not getting the latest, it's like getting pes instead of pes2. We6fe is an optimized version of we6fe, and even we6fe is better than PES2 from what i've heard, and that's not hard 'cause PES2 has some major programming probs. But don't get fooled by me, your still gonna have a better gaming experience with it than with those fifa crappy arcade games. What i was trying to say is that if i were merkan i would import me a copy of we6fe and modchip my ps2 so i wouldn't have to bother anymore if konami was gonna release an old version of their game is american soil or not

The Korea ver(same as the American ver) has been released on
2/26.
Most of the asian soccor fans have played that yet and whether u believe or not,its real true.

Obviously it can't be that bad if you don't want to use an 70 cent CD for the chance of fixing the problem.

Hey...it's NTSC/J & DVD format!!! So, all Asian PS2 region use the same designation i.e NTSC/J (Japanese version)...

I wonder why WE6I get distributed to Asian market, all I know the Asian countries have got all the latest WE versions...

no slowdowns mentioned in EGM's review.

really, i don't believe that any major slowdowns occur in WE6I, maybe besides something happening during the corner kicks or when you approach the end line near the corner of the field.

Lets hope so.

As for EGM...that mag is about as unreliable as it gets. Hell, I doubt they'd have enough room in their tiny 1 paragraph reviews to mention--well--anything much.

trust me..... the EGM review is very reliable.

I know the guy who wrote it. and he doesn't even like soccer all that much.. and says it could be sports game of the year....

I'm making a point of not listening to any reviewers this time around. I'm just gonna wait until the 11th and buy the game..

most of the time, i think the best reviews are not from 'pro' reviewers, but those who post in forums and message boards like this one.. and espeicially gamefaqs.com

It's interesting to see if those who has actually bought the game think it's worth it or just crap.

I couldn't agree more, shinji. Personally, I'm expecting good things from WE6I. But, on the other hand, I can rant off a list of games I've purchased because of a review I read and I just ended up hating the game. I'm gonna rent it first, play a few hours with my brother (which is all the time I should need to make up my mind.) and If it's good I'll buy it the next day, if it sucks, I'll stick with my trusty WE6FE.

While I am glad that WE6I got a great review, these are the same writers that always give FIFA awesome scores, even though we all know how much FIFA sucks. And they always say the same thing "I'm not a big soccer fan, but FIFA rocks!!" Think about it for a second guys, how can a guy that doesn't really like soccer know what should be in a soccer sim? The fatc is that he DOESN'T know. Rent then buy, that's my advice...

This doesn't have much to do with the current thread (I don't believe... ) but I don't think it needs a new one.


Since we know that the rosters are going to be painfully outdated, how many of you are going to spend most of your time in ML, where the rosters won't make much difference? I know I probably will. I don't really have the time to go through and edit all the teams, so I'll most likely just do major fixes and try to live with it.

Hopefully, though, Konami will continue to release soccer games here in the states, but I also hope that they would be the "latest and greatest" instead of 2nd best.

i agree with Footballer, pretty much everyone of us is gonna spend most of their time playing MS so, updating the rosters is not gonna matter that much... GREAT POINT!
