Nah i quite like it, still nothing compared to the masterpieces of Psycho, The Birds and the GOD-SEND that is Rear Window. Hitchcock made some bloody good movies.

Seriously, Psycho and Rear Window are truly amazing.
Rear Window is one of those movies that I recognise is great without really enjoying it all that much. I dont know why, partially because I'm not particularly keen on James Stewart I guess. It's probably the best film I will never watch again.

Psycho is a masterpiece but all in all Hitchcock doesnt quite do it for me. As I said my favs are Notorious and 39 Steps, but not even those two would make it anywhere near my top 10.

Saw Good Shepherd in the cinema - not bad at all. Disappointing that so many great actors had such small parts, but atleast it meant they werent jostling for position. This is the best performance I have ever seen from Matt Damon, such a quiet and restrained character must be an actors worst nightmare, but he pulled it off to perfection. Jolie was slightly miscast, but this was forgivable because of her hotness, and Baldwin and Gambon did what they always do these days, grizzly old supporting performances, and they really are masters at it. The film was a bit overblown, with the cuts between time a bit too frequent leading to break up in consistancy and flow, but even with an almost three hour run time I still found it kept me engrossed and I didnt find the lack of action to be a problem at all. I enjoyed it alot, not so much a spy film, but a great study of people and of society.

Good story, and nice animations...though I must add that it could have had some more anime titties flying around and what not. (H)

Rules of Attraction is excellent in terms of scenes. As a film it doesnt really work as you dont care about the leads. But in terms of induvidual scenes and directing, it's bloody fantastic.

Also James Van Der Beek is truly brilliant in it, as far removed from "Dawson" as you possibly could be lol

I watched a horror movie called raving maniacs the other night. What a complete waste of my time.

Don't watch it. You will regret it. It's that bad!

Another movie I watched was Bridget Jones's Diary which turned out to be not to bad. It had it's funny moments.

How does it go again? "un pasito para aqua, un pasito para aya...ay que miedo me da" (the end of the movie)

Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang.

Very nice, weirdly constructed film with LOTS of satire which was great since I happen to particulary love satirical films. Downey Jr. was great and so was Kilmer.

I was flippin channels today and I noticed that HBO on Demand had Starwards Episodes I through IV available, even so and with nothing else to do at the time, I still couldn't get myself to start watching them simply because I knew that I would start bashing them like 10 minutes in. Star Wars sucks

That explains it:(

I first saw Star Wars when I was 4 in 1977 and it was absolutely the coolest thing ever. I still remember the excitement of waiting for the next movies to come out. Waiting in big lineups to see Return of the Jedi. I remember my younger brother (he was 4 I think) hiding under the seat when Jabba the Hutt came on screen (H)

Anyway, I will forgive you, as you are obviously of the in between generation who missed the initial magic of the series. :jap:
