haha, yeah America's fans are bunch of idiots but Pumas' fans get pretty damn crazy too. I remember watching video of America and Pumas' fans fighting outside Estadio Azteca after a game. They beat the shit out of an America fan and I think a Televisa cameraman too. :D :rockman:

Man, Luis Fabiano has to get it together so he can help Sao Paulo. In the begining of the year he was awesome but now he is lacking and rarely scoring.
He couldn't even score a penalty in the beging of the game against Rosario.
God dang it man! Do your thing:f***:

That was a total disgrace, America loses at home in a packed stadium, and start a riot. And Santos game was pure bull shit, someone stab that ref, seriously. :kader:

Boca, Santos, São Paulo, São Caetano and Deportivo Cali. IF São Caetano goes through against Boca, they'll be my number one favourites to win. And believe me, from the brazilian teams, i think they're the only one capable of doing that, because they've got the best defenders from the brazilian teams.

Santos with Vanderlei Luxemburgo will become a great team when they sign a good defender (Alex is injured and André isnt up to par) and stop attacking with 10 men.:crazyboy: Diego is getting his act together lately, he was playing pish up before. I was also impressed with Deportivo Cali, they schooled Cruzeiro and if it werent for their bad finishing they would've won in normal time without too much of a sweat.

Renato is near world-class. Just hasnt been on form, just like the rest of the team. Alex is moving to PSV in June or July, but by that time he'll be able to play, and Paulo Almeida to Benfica looked certain, but new coach Luxemburgo said Almeida features in his first team plans, so i dont know if he'll try to block his departure.

But i dont think he's allowed to do so anyway, so it looks like it's a done-deal.

I love the Copa Libertadores.

The Once Caldas-Barcelona game was amazing, although it was a 1-1 tie. (Y)

Yeah, nice to see some stadiums almost sold-out here in Brazil too, it's kinda rare. Morumbi was just brilliant against Rosário, the atmosphere was great. Vila Belmiro was sold-out too, Mineirão had an average crowd though, but their fans are just average (nothing against them, but they just go in great number to Mineirão when Cruzeiro is setting Brazil alight, like last year.. when they're playing bad dont expect more than 10000 to turn up) so it's ok. I guess there were nearly 30000 in Mineirão, not half of the stadium capacity.

19000 at Vila Belmiro (the capacity is 21000) and 60000 at Morumbi (about 75000 capacity).

For me it looks like CONMEBOL (sp?) doesnt have any interest about Mexican clubs, i mean, it doesnt look like they would like the Mexicans to succeed in Libertadores, since they wont get to play the Intercontinental Cup and they arent from South America.

The referees will favor any team playing against the Mexicans, that's what it looks to me.

i agree but then why the hell they give us 3(this year we had 2) direct places for next season:rolleyes: CONMEBOL is so strange

Well, they put Argentinian refs. most of the time to games where Brazilians are playing, they're mad.

....perhaps because Mexican teams are just as good if NOT BETTER then the brazilian or even....*gasp* the argentinans.

He's saying that since it's a CONMEBOL tournament Mexican clubs shouldnt be allowed. About Mexican clubs being better, that's a over-statement. Santos got past Cruz Azul last year in the quarters, São Caetano eliminated América this year AT Azteca.

That about sums it up. When a mexican club eliminates a brazilian one, you can say such things.

Well obivously I'm not stating that there ALWAYS better then the brasilians or argentinans. But if you go back these past few years mexican teams have gotten to the quarter and semis. Of course these last two times both haven't been as good but that's not fair to judge the mexicans based on two years. River hasn't won since I think 96 does that mean there bad?

I didnt say Mexican team were bad. I said they're not better than Brazilians OR Argentinians for that matter. Mexico's best year in Libertadores was when Cruz Azul reached the finals. Apart from that, they were nothing special (no offense btw).

2 years ago America and Morelia were unbeaten until semis, this year was same with santos until they lost against river, thats special

Cruz Azul(first year) beating River,Rosario and Boca (Home), Santos(first year) and America beating River (La Monumental) i think thas pretty much for only 4 years dont u think? besides i miss some other great moments for mexican clubs, its only a matter of experience for mexican teams to adapt the SA style and youll see

Im not saying that we are better tahn Brazilians or Argentineans but we have a great and competitive league nad very close to thme is only a matter of time that why they call em La Liga de las Americas
