Liverpool FC

I always wanted to see Owen return to Liverpool, I guess what this means is that Beckham won't return to United, Henry to Arsenal, Mourinho to Chelsea or Fabregas to Barcelona. They all have new lives now.

We're not swimming in money, and we need to sign players for other positions, like the wings... besides, who needs Owen when we've got Voronin? :(

atleast its still red, just the wrong shade. Here's to hoping he aint injured half the season... I wonder how the fans will respond come Utd vs Pool, assuming he plays that is. As a legend or the turn coat.

Good news for england if rooney and owen playing togeather on a regular basis see's any benifit.

Will Man U play in those or is it just some promotional shirt? It looks wrong, and it's not just because it's Michael Owen wearing it...

Owen was never as liked by the Liverpool fans as someone like Fowler, but I hope they (we?) still respect him as he deserves...

I hate that picture... that only show me that between Love and Hate there´s only money.

PS:I never liked the guy after he left us but i still will boo him if he plays in the Manure visit to Anfield.

AND YES UNITED WILL PLAY IN THOSE... I hope their season will be like the stripe in their shirt, BLACK.

Famous Quotes

“Some people believe football is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed with that attitude. I can assure you it is much, much more important than that." Bill Shankly

"The English club proved that miracles really do exist. I've now made Liverpool my English team. They showed that football is the most beautiful sport of all. The Liverpool supporters didn't let me go to sleep the night before, there were 10 of them to every three Milan supporters. They showed their unconditional support at half-time when they were losing 3-0 and still they didn't stop singing." World Cup legend Diego Maradona who was cheering for Liverpool in Istanbul.

There's not one club in Europe with an anthem like You'll Never Walk Alone. There's not one club in the world so united with the fans. I sat there watching the Liverpool fans and they sent shivers down my spine. A mass of 40,000 people became one force behind their team. That's something not many teams have. For that I admire Liverpool more than anything." Dutch legend Johan Cruyff after Istanbul.

"Liverpool's fans are just amazing. The best feeling I have at away games is Anfield. It is just incredible. I love it. You get goose bumps when you see their supporters sing You'll Never Walk Alone." Arsenal and France star Thierry Henry.

"He's better than Platini, certainly better than Rumminegge and Maradona. For me he is the greatest footballer in the world." Graeme Souness on Kenny Dalglish

"Liverpool without European football is like a banquet without wine." Roy Evans

*YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE

When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of the storm
There's a golden sky
And the sweet silver
Song of a lark.

Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
Though your dreams
Be tossed and blown
Walk on
Walk on

With hope in your hearts
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone.
Walk on
Walk on

All the best for the 2009/2010 season.

If Alonso is sold we might have no other choice....unless Rafa goes after a replacement IMMEDIATELY!

Yossi won't last 60 minutes though.....

Yeah Yossi is a great player for sure but i think he is better as a substitute because as you said he can´t last 60 minutes... he gets tired quickly compared with other players in the squad.

We signed Chris Mavinga from Paris Saint Garmain he is a left-back and can play also play at Center-Back, i haven´t seen a lot about him so what do you think? a good prospect?.

Yah, I read that yesterday....hope he gives us some depth. El Zhar turned out to be a surprise with the number of games he played last season(nearly 20, if I'm not mistaken) so who knows.

Starting XI
With Dossena leaving, and Fabio Aurelio being injured once again, Mavinga may well play some matches. Insua seems to be half decent as a backup too... our problem remains, we have too many average players, and too few world class players, to win the league.

That's correct. Last season was out best chance thanks to lack of favorable results(indicative of a league with NO depth), we missed our best opportunity.

I guess we won't see any more action this transfer window... Actually, I'm kinda hoping we won't see any more action, because if we do, we'll probably sell Masch and Alonso, and bring in worse players than those two... :(
