and can i ask why?

sure you can, you just did.

ok, seriously now... Spurs and Liverpool are not rivals, or at least not fierce rivals like Everton - Liverpool or Pool - Man U.

They may be the only side to beat us this season in the League, but still, like original told you, they're nothing special.

The decision to sell Keane was, imho, a good one. If he wasn't going to be used, and Rafa knows he wasn't, we could well cash in on him while he's still thought to be a pawn in Liverpool's power struggle rather than a crap player.

how many strikers rafa bought and then he sold them with lower price:
bellemi
voronian
keane
...

none of those made liverpool a better club, and were rightly allowed to leave. bellamy is a trouble maker, keane wasn't going to play, and voronin... well.... at least we signed him on a free... what should we have done?

I know, but keane and berba were not so different on Spurs, I think keane scored more goals than berba in their times. But Sir Alex helped Berba to find himself in a team unlike Benitez. (It's obvious that new player needs time and trust)

managers make crap buys. Veron didn't fit in well, did he? Forlan? Kleberson? Saha?

What you said actually makes Liverpool look less guilty. Keane was good enough at Spurs, Liverpool buys him, he doesn't fit in, Liverpool sell him. It would be no good keeping him. The only thing Liverpool did wrong, imho, is not having signed a replacement, leaving us a bit short of options up front.

I would have to say that Liverpool's biggest issue on the pitch at the moment is our excess of fringe players.

to be fair Saha was injured like 90% of the time...not much you can do about that one.

newbie original

We apologize for keeping the yellow too long
Yellow Card
Portsmouth 2-3 Liverpool

OH WHAT A GAME!!!!!!!!! What..........a.............game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We were toothless for most of the 90 minutes, but woke up just in time to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

Lucky is right to be honest. The trouble is that the squad depth Liverpool have is very very poor. Players like Benayoun, Kuyt and N'Gog can't be relied upon like Gerrard and Torres. Torres was Benitez's get out of jail card and luckily it worked.

these situations were so different. Veron was 1st team choice during his time and ferguson did whatever he can to make him fit. Forlan and Kleberson were unknown to first class football and they never proved theirselves before in any major club. And C'mon man Saha had injury most of the times and he is still injured, but he was the guy who forced nistelrooy to go.

keane situation is like buying (ruud-sheringham-yorke-saha-rooney-berba (i mean top class players)) and not playing them at all.

so don't confuse yourself.
