Fergie waited too long to offer Tevez the contract, that's the f*****g point you dope. SAF offering Tevez a contract in January, when Tevez was obviously already unhappy with his role at the club, was like shutting the barn door after the horses have already escaped. Too little, too late.
Tevez was undoubtedly unhappy with his playing time...and who decides playing time? Who is the one person that Tevez could blame for his diminished role in the team?
And I can still be a fan of United but also be a fan of our former players. I will support Tevez and Ronaldo for the rest of their careers, because they were both great players for our team and both of them helped us win trophies. However, I believe that we should have done more, SOONER, to make Tevez happy and get him to sign a contract SOONER, when he really wanted it, and because we failed to do that, I will root for him to beat us this coming season.
And I'll tell you another thing...I hope we draw Madrid in CL and I hope Ronaldo scores to knock us out, because I think we were idiots to sell him.

thetrooper37;2702067 said:The funny part is that with the likes of Santa Cruz, Robinho, now Adebayor possibly, Bellamy and Petrov, Tevez is going to have a hard time getting more games than he did with us.
ladylover;2702076 said:You are one weird guy...go support City then if you hope that they beat us twice. Know your facts. SAF started offering him deals since January, he even approached Tevez to ask if he's happy with the terms being offered. Tevez gave no response whatsoever
andremc11;2702160 said:Obviously after helping the team to a Champ League win, tevez felt hurt that Fergie went out and got a player to replace him for no good reason. He felt undermined and so would I.
For all you who dont beleive what Tevez said about Fergie only speaking on a few occasions---watch Fergie's reaction when Tevez scored his last goal against Man City.
Nady;2702157 said:For your info, United have started holding talks with him since around July of last year and at that time he was happy with us and was keen to stay with us. You cannot say Fergie waited too long before offering him a contract. In July Berbatov wasn't even in.
Again for your info, EPL statistics: Rooney: 31 games, Berbatov 29 games, Tevez 29 games. They have all played around the same amount of time. Fergie was playing with a rotation system. You cannot expect playing all games when you are at a team like United unless you are higher above the rest in your position like Evra, Vidic and Rooney.
Seriously stop being stupid. Do you support United or do you support Ronaldo and Tevez? Players comes from the club and goes, but the team still remains Manchester United. If you want Ronaldo or Tevez to score against United, go support Man City and Real Madrid. Only a stupid fan will wish his team to lose
We were idiots to sell Ronaldo? Are you ignorant or something? Ronaldo wanted to go to Madrid since 3 years. It was HIS CHOICE to leave, NOT OURS. Fergie tried hard not letting him go last year remember? What else could've been done to keep him? Get real man. If you like Ronaldo better than United, go support Real Madrid, please.
haha and this person is also a City fan
cfdemarco;2702196 said:We could have said he was not for sale, just like Beyern have done with Ribery, Valencia have done with Villa, Atletico have done with Aguero, etc.
If I'm not mistaken he had a contract with us until 2012...so if I were SAF I would have told Ronaldo that I fully expected him to honor his contract until it was complete. I don't think that we can be forced to sell a player, can we?
Nady;2702172 said:Berbatov was never bought to replace Tevez. We were short of strikers since Saha had just left. Did you expect us to play the whole season with just 2 strikers??? Fergie had to bring on 1 more striker, so he bought Berbatov.
thelordspawn;2702085 said:do you blame Tevez? you sign him first year he was starter then they brought in berba**** which they didnt need and is a much crappier striker and tevez after ana amazing first season gets demoted to bench and rots wouldnt u be very pissed when u go froma fantastic season to bench warmer?
andremc11;2702158 said:That is actually quite hilarious because it shows your lack of knowledge as Robinho and now Tevez or the only world class forwards players city have Therefore both of them will be set in stone in whatever 11 that City fields.
kp40;2702290 said:forget about Tevez, he's gone just like Ronaldo but unlike him he started to slam sir alex and management to explain his rival transfer.
ManU players should understand that it is an honor to just seat on the bench. I still think we need huntelaar.
thetrooper37;2702241 said:Didn't we have this discussion in the City thread?
Tevez's first "amazing" season with United: 19 goals in 48 games
"Berbaflop"'s first "terrible" season with United: 14 goals in 43 games
And don't try the assists bull**** again, we both know Berbatov gets a lot more of those.
IF Petrov can get his form from his first season at City, he'll get to share the left wing play time with Robinho.
Adebayor is a better goal scorer than Tevez.
IF Santa Cruz can play like he did with Blackburn under Hughes, he'll definitely score more goals than Tevez.
Robinho will obviously score more goals than Tevez.
Bellamy and Bojinov will have a very hard time getting play time I agree. However, Bojinov has potential and Hughes has stated numerous times that he rates him. Say he comes on as a sub a couple of times and scores a couple of goals. What then? Wouldn't he get his chance in the first team?
All these factors mean that Tevez will have to compete with about 5 players for a starting spot. That's the way I see it.
City will also play a lot less games than United because they're not in continental competition.
You could be right though, he might get the most starts. I just don't think he will.
