Beckham said he was staying at United forever too.

he didn't want to leave till the end but fergie sold him. I think he was in Asia when United and Real reached agreement.

he proved his passion and love for United so many times. He didn't sign for any other EPL teams while he could and always supported Fergie and United. He is a true United fan ... his celebration during arsenal match was priceless.

United didn't behave Beckham well and sold him at the end after that locker room incident. But unlike Tevez he never cried that United behaved me badly, I'll never forgive fergie ... these kind of childish statements that Tevez makes everyday.

by the way, I remember ronaldo saying last year that he's going to stay at United and break Giggs total appearences for the club!!!!

Beckham always acted very professionally, he played in a next match after that locker room incident and assisted two times as well.

I hope he plays with United shirt in his farewell match.

Yeah, but Ronaldo changed his story depending on who he spoke to.

As for Becks, I wrongly blamed him for choosing Celebrity over United, having read his book - I can see that Sir Alex was the one who decided Beckham should leave, Victoria was obviously a factor too. Beckham never publicly spoke out about leaving United - It was clearly Sir Alex who weilded the axe.

I too would love to see Becks in the red of United one more time - but that would mean Sir Alex practically admitting he was wrong, and I can't see him doing that.

maybe he wears United's precious shirt in his final farewell match.

I think his relationship with Sir Alex is still too dark, he visited the team in Italy but I never heard any interaction with Fergie at all. But both of them admired each other on numerous occasions.

Tosic isn't in the CL squad. I wonder what SAF's plans are with him. Better news though is that Hargreaves is on the list!

Carling Cup and lower Premier League / FA Cup matches for this season I suspect.

Apparently Anderson impressed in the reserves last night - both with his play and his work attitude. He scored too - improve his confidence a little bit.

Yeah, you must've gotten a LOT of momentum from that penalty + own goal win.

You also can't know for sure that this will jeopardise you. It could benefit you just as easily.

Well, a win is a win. But I have to agree with KP to some extent - I find it really stupid that after the first week of the season we had an International break, and then another two weeks after that. I know we have to play the qualifiers, but why not reschedule the friendlies for either the end of the previous season - or the week before the Premiership starts?

I'm biting my nails making sure all the United boys come back fit - and plus it does kill momentum, even if we didn't play that well against Arsenal.

Because most clubs wouldn't have it. You'd be taking the most important week away from preseason, or messing with players' holidays.

You want the World Cup don't you? I want to watch my team this weekend, too, but this is just complaining for the hell of it. If you push the fixtures any further back you'd be taking away prepping time for the qualified nations.

Dwight Yorke has decided to retire from football.....absolute legend! He formed the best partnership ever with Andy Cole. A true professional and a great guy, he never complained and always played with a smile on his face.....!

Absolutely - his goals were one of the reasons we dominated in 1999.

I see the Sun, having failed to sell Nemanja and Anderson on our behalf - are now attempting to say Rio will be off to Spain

Never let the truth get in the way of a good story - Isn't it a coincidence that these stories appear when the players are away from the club.

I saw an interview from him after United-Arsenal match last season when United became champions. He admired United, Sir Alex, fans and said it was a great privilege for him to play for United and in Old Trafford.

God Bless you Dwight Yorke.
