lol Real Madrid sucks. They have no patience with young players. I wonder why players wanna go there. Its like ruining your career.

Regarding the Campbell thing, he has played only 1 game this season in league 2. Thats why I was not sure whether he would've been a good option. He's not match fit.

I am not so confident about tomorrows game. Villa has got some great strikers in Carew, Agbonlahore, Heskey etc... They are all strong and are good headers. We need a strong defence to play against them. Luckily Vidic is back though. probable lineup tomorrow:

I think we should go for 4-5-1. We need a strong midfield in front of the defence to act as cover.

I pretty sure he's on about young players... not developed, European winning, world player of the year. He would do well no matter where he went, even real Madrid :browsmiley: I'm only jesting. :D

I'm pretty damn sure C. Ronaldo would have been kicked out of Madrid had he joined them when he was 18-19. Real Madrid's policy sucks. If you are not consistent now no matter how old you are, you're out.

I agree. Real Madrid has no patience for young player development. They're always trying to sign the best players in the world.
A player wanting to play in the first 11 has to already arrive as a superstar (the list of those kinds of players that arrived at Madrid over the years is huge) and perform well week in week out. If the player has bags of potential, he wouldn't be given enough time to fully reach it because they'll probably buy some superstar to replace him in the next transfer window.

I dont disagree with that, its true. But Benz wont be sold in January, that's just wishful thinking from a journalist that hopes for him, that's all.

Well to be fair we all knew it would happen to Benzema, He should have come to us where he could have developed and would have had time - plus I reckon he'd have suited the English game much better.

Ah well. If he does become available then I hope we'd move for him - but I suspect he'd cost the earth and Fergie wouldn't pay over the odds.

From what Fergie said yesterday it sounds like the defencive crisis should be over in a couple of weeks. O'Shea, Rio and Evans will be fit around that time.

It also looks extremely likely that the only arrival in January will be Mame Diouf.

its like barca fans have a sixth sense to Madrid bashing... Does it tingle?

In other news Everton just scored to bring the game to 2-2!! 2nd half to go yet though? I was going to be happy with the draw, but you never know they may even win.

That's pressure for the Villa game.

It's half time. Villa are 1-0 up and probably deserve to be. I think to be honest I knew we'd not win after Rooney nearly uprooted the goalframe. And so far that has been our best riposte. Giggs has lost the ball on several occasions, Park looks short of match fitness (which is understandable) and the 4-5-1 has left Rooney very isolated. Speaking of Rooney, he dived in the Villa box and rightly was booked. (Although on first view I thought it was a penalty)

Berba and Owen were vigorously warming up towards the end of the half, I think one of them needs to be on - Rooney needs help up there. I'd also like to see Gabby Obertan come on, United need some more flair from somewhere.

Agbonlahor looks a player - maybe we should investigate his availability in the summer.

Too much dribbling from Giggs and too slow thinking from Park. Valencia needs to pull the trigger earlier. Should be winning, but Villa is a strong team, Fletcher is really struggling on the right. Hopefully, we'll be able to come back strong in 2nd half, we need to take advantage of Chelsea's slip up.

BTW, maybe Benzema rumours are circling around because Madrid realized that Benzema claims to be better than he actually is? He has an attitude problem and at United we don't like attitude.

I knew we would've been screwed on crosses... We are vulnerable with crosses right now. I hope we can turn this game around after half time. If we could get a draw at least, still wouldn't be bad. This won't increase the gap.

Fair assesment on all points there mate. Fergie has indeed fixed the system, Owen's on for Giggsy. 4-4-2 now. We simply have to win this game after the gift from Everton earlier. If we can get level I think psychologicaly it will be a momentum shift to us - Chelsea perhaps feeling the pressure.

Big three points dropped today. Even after Villa was practically gifting us the ball everytime it was in our half, we still couldn't manage to score. Rooney was very off-form, hiss every pass was weak and shots just weren't there. Can't believe we blew this one.

Pathetic, abject, awful. And I've had it with Fergie blaming referees - this was squarely his fault. 4-5-1 does not, and will never work as well as 4-4-2.

I thought today could be a big blow in the title race - it was, Chelsea must believe their name is on this title. And I'm starting to lose faith in the team, and most of all Sir Alex.

I'm sick to death of him ranting and raving about injury time and I'm also sick to death of United being over bloody complacent and not working their a$$es off.

Pi$$ed off does not even begin to describe it.
