Anyway, i think that rooney will be a good signing for us. He plays in that role just behind the striker(s) and has the ability to link the midfield with the forwards, we saw that succesfully in Portugal. He also has the ability to score and take the ball. He can only improve, and it'll be a good move :) Its about time we started spending some real money :)

its ok for us to buy Rooney for 25 million , but we wouldnt pay enough for Robben and Ronaldinho , the stupidity of the man utd board defies belief.

yeah, they did say that spending over 10 million on a 20 year old was stupid when chelsea beat them to robben. They spent 12.8 on ronaldo at 18, and now 25ish on rooney at 18 :rolleyes:

but Rooney won't leave Everton... because Moyes said if Everton let Ronney go with a bid less than 30 million... He'll leave too...

I would swap Rooney for Ronaldinho anyday...and wasn't Ronaldinho cheaper as well?!?!

I guess the board is also counting the "marketability value" as well?!? Although I think ronaldinho should be no problem selling the same number of shirts as rooney...

I dont think rooney will have much marketability , who want his face on your duvet cover . It would scar a small child for life.

at least he are more better looking than ronaldinho ;) but for me. i rather have ronaldinho in man utd than rooney

yes for me. not every Asian but at least Hong Kong people like English players more....maybe its becoz HK was a coloy of Britain before 1997. :rolleyes:

I've just watched Football Focus on ESPN... According to it... Rooney said :"I'm off" to Everton and heading to Old Trafford... With a bid less than 30 million...
