thanks for the report Houston,

you reckon Lee Martin is first team quality yet? how do you compare him with the inconsistent Richardson?

Great to know that you all chanted and sang to show your support.

with the whole ruud thing, why would fergie let him go to our main rivals? hed be more likely to keep hold of him if we couldnt get a buyer, and again the story is from the news of the screws whens that paper ever been reliable tho it does brighten my sundays with its tales of tabloid filth and 'romps' todays staring our own Cristiano and some big brother conestant :-)

Well it wouldn't surprise me at all if Ruud is leaving ManUtd and we all know who we can thank for that don't we? That "above the law" prick SAF, his 'reign of terror' before made sure that Stam, Becks and Keano left OT as well and next on his list is Ruud. I'm sorry to say it but I think there might be some truth in this and if Roger Linse (Ruud's manager) did have talks with Chelsea...??

Not sure about Ruud himself wanting to join Chelsea though cause he wants to play and if Chelsea succeeds in bringing in Sheva then I'm afraid he can hot up a seat on the bench again and I'm sure Ruud don't want that.

I think Ruud is going to Lyon to play at Olympique.
He doesn't want to make a comment on anything till the WC is over so I guess we all have to wait unlessssss some club is going to make him an offer he can't refuse.
He wants to concentrate for 100% on the WC now with no distractions anyway.
But that he will be leaving ManUtd is a certainty as long as that git SAF is still the manager. I mean..not even inviting him when Keano played his farewell game when Ruud and Keano are good friends is unbelievable! :nape:

Ruud isn't going to Lyon, they are after PSG's Pauleta. And Ruud surely won't go to Chelsea. The board and SAF aren't stupid. It isn't the same like Veron, Veron was a flop in the EPL and they wanted to get money out of him, so they saw an oppertunity. I am still convinced that the whole Ruud SAF thing has been blown up by the media. It is just a matter of competition upfront, you can't ignore that Saha has been the better striker in the second half of the season, not only because he scores goals but mainly because the team plays better with Saha, that has been a fact in the last couple of months. I support SAF in most of his descisions and also in this one, Saha has been the better striker, it is as simple as that. And you are saying that he did the same with Keane etc, Keane is a legend for us, but you have got to face the fact that Keane was getting old, and besides that Keane and SAF came to an agreement that this was the best thing for the club and themselves. I don't support SAF in the way he handled Stam, but the truth is that some things you have to keep it behind the walls and Stam didn't do that. Becks was the biggest mistake, because after that we lost our fear-factor a bit, but he was becoming to big for the club, but I still hope that one day he will return.

Edit: I just heard that Ruud has reached a personal agreement with Inter Milan. This news will come out in a couple of days time...... :nape:

Yeah and he's also supposed to be talking to Spurs. Ruud is gonna be linked with just about every big club in Europe. I'll tell ya what though. If Guddy leaves Chelsea, I'll be gutted. If he joins Man U, that will be the best thing SAF has done for United since he signed Wayne.

Source??? why Inter though, they have been under-achieving all over the years. I still wished he had stayed, don't understand why Fergie has forced him out. :nape:

I would suggest that the fact Roger Liinse (ruud's agent) has been negotiating with clubs without United agreeing a deal first - would indicate that the agent (duh) is pulling the strings. Mind you It'd be interesting to see what might happen regarding Ronny and Ruud if CQ goes to Benfica (as is rumoured)

Man Utd won't sell Ruud to Chelsea, unless they ask for someone big in part exchange (Joe Cole or Wright-Phillips for example) Gudjohnssen is a great player but he must be late twenties at least by now.

Spurs or Newcastle are more realistic options. Looks like the top teams in Spain are no longer interested and Internazionale seems to be the only Italian option.

I wish we'd hurry up and get active in the transfer market though :)

Oh and did anyone watch the Playoff final last night? Ben Foster looks really good, glad we got him first! Shame Chris Eagles didn't play though. I wonder if the Gaffer will keep him (Foster) on loan for Watford's Premiership campaign - certainly sharpen him up against the likes of Henry and Owen :)

Also I have found Floribert N'Galula - he's been in Thailand with Choccy McClair filming a unicef documentary for MUTV.

If Ruud leaves, then life goes on...

Hell, even the Great Dane Schemeichel almost got his ass kicked out of OT some years ago, but he settled his differences with SAF and became a legend. Who knows the same thing will happen to Ruud ?

But if he leaves, then let it be.

On the second matchday, United played against HKFC, and this is the knock-out stage. I dont know why but Rene started those 3 Walsall players instead of playing captain Neumayr and Sylvan Blake.
We were 2-0 down in the 1st half and we brought in all our own players in the second half. Lee Martin got fouled in the box and its the 2nd time he got a penalty for us in this tournament. Neumayr scored but we lost 1-2 and we were out.

The final of the cup was Urawa Red Diamonds - Aston Villa. 0-0 in both halves, they went into extra time. In exrea time, each team only play 4 players including the keeper. Villa keeper went forward and in the counter attack, Nakamura scored the golden goal for Urawa. Urawa retained the Philips Lighting International Soccer Sevens Cup Championship.

Aston Villa captain Gabriel Agbonlahor was really great. He is fast, really fast. And after the final, Agbonlahor signed autograph for the fans and he gave his pair of boots to an Aston Villa fan. :rockman:

I got captain Markus Neumayr's autograph after the tournament, when we left the stadium and headed to the MTR station, I saw Heaton, Lee Martin, Phil Marsh, Neumayr and Rene one by one on the street going back to the stadium.

Lee Martin dribbles well and he is fast. He creates many chances by going down the wing and going into the box. Neumayr keeps playing long balls forward and our attack was not good. Our defense was even worse. Danny Simpson is not solid enough and is he a centre back?

Ruud can't understand United snub

"I know a lot of people in Manchester don't understand it, well it is the same for me," he said.

"I love Manchester United. That is why I don't really understand it.

"What has happened has happened. I have a World Cup in front of me, so I need to try and forget about it and move on.

"But one thing I want to make clear is that I went (from the hotel) because I had to go, not because I went myself."

There's more that Ruud said on Dutch TV, he broke the silence about the rumours.
According to him he is not planning to leave MU and want to finish his contract there. He doesn't have the feeling that he's not wanted anymore not even by SAF but....... he's not crazy and the fact that he was not welcome when Keano played his last game really hurts and he is taking that with him IF eventually he has to decide to go to another club.
But right now there is no need to leave he said and if it's up to him he will return to OT after the WC but "we'll see how things go" he said. Right now other clubs are not an option for him, he wants to focus on the WC. Holland is in trainingcamp in Switzerland.

Today's Daily Mirror runs a story that claims Mamadou Diarra is holding out for a move to Real Madrid. Apparrently United agreed £18M with Lyon and sorted a deal with his advisors but when they presented the deal to Diarra he indicated his desire to wait for Real Madrid to make a move first. Bang goes another transfer deal then, Diarra was the main one too :kader:

We have to face it, United are viewed as a club in decline across Europe, look at the players who turned us down;

Robben, (Chelski)
Duff, (Chelski)
Ronaldinho, (Barca)
Shevchenko, (Milan stayed)
Essien, (Chelski)
Wright - Phillips, (Chelski)
Xabi Alonso, (L'pool)
Ballack, (Chelski)
Bridge, (Chelski)
Obi Mikel. (Chelski)

Just how the hell do we attract world stars, it seems that the likes of Rooney are rare deals now :kader:

That story was published yesterday from AS. Diarra's agent already denied it!
