Giggs was completely lost today, lost the ball quite a lot, I think Tevez played a very good game, Ronaldo got better after his goal, Kuszchak did well and made a few good saves

Another scrappy performance. Ronaldo has looked weighed down with pressure recently, you could see the release when he scored so hopefully he'll be back firing again. Giggs was as ineffective as I've seen for a while and in the first half we were so congested.

Saha does allow us to become more stable, Perhaps SAF should start Rooney out wide with Tevez and Saha up front because it looked to me far more effective. IMO Rio would be a good captain so Giggsy could be rested.

Tommy K made a great stop from Rio's deflection and I'm glad he could get Wednesday's nightmare out of his system. I hope Edwin isn't out for too long though.

To not be playing your best but still come away with a 1-0 win, you have to be happy with that.

We did plenty of that last season AND got slammed for it. The 3 points is whats important. The rest will come later. Thats the only way to look at it.

rooney is not the same player he was before injury... needs to find his form quickly. giggs was just poor...i think he needs a break. tevez is finally showing some glimpses of what he is really about.

why is Nani not even on the bench anymore?

Rotation system and rest I think, he played during the Carling Cup, nothing serious, he has played quite a lot, which was not SAF's first plan, but he was forced because of injuries

Looks like United needs a good striker, winning with minimal goals is not that great as long as it's a win I guess it's ok.
Huntelaar scored goal nr 8 today for us in 7 games so Fergie would be wise to offer him a contract at the end of this season :$ or another big name will for sure!
We won with 6-1 today and Luque (former NCUFC) scored twice (Y)

Brown and Vidic missed training today. But Hargreaves is back.

Damn - that's half of our defence out! At least Owen is back and could play emergency right back. I wonder if Fergie will show faith in Pique to replace Vida - Hopefully they're okay anyway though.

Nemanja Vidic and Wes Brown are struggling with their fitness and Ferguson said: "Gerard Pique would come in for Vidic and John O'Shea for Wes. We'll see tomorrow.

oh man i wouldnt give pique a start in such a match where the opposition is just dying to get some retribution. IF he does start....hopefully he will give a firm performance.

It's the kind of game that can make a player. If he can deal with that sort of pressure, it's one major step to showing he can make it at Man United. Let's see if he crumbles under the pressure.

Oh man, give him a break. It's only his third or fourth game with the full squad and you guys are saying that this game would be his make or break game. You don't judge a player after one game.

Yeah I agree, and besides Pique is an experienced player, he has marked the likes as Ronaldinho, Messi, Robinho etc. and did well....I think he is more then ready
