WTF is with this Platini. Yes, he was one of World Football's Greats and is now the President of UEFA, but by saying these things he is bringing his dowfall and no one else's.....He is thinking of himself as the supreme authority of Football in the World (and not just Europe).

Its been in the papers Ron got in contact with the club, I assume SAF and said he would be there for training on schedule. 3 weeks from when euro 2008 finished for him.

As for the transfer speculation, I try not to believe the tabloids too much as they seem to contradict themselves the following week. I would be pleased if United did make a move for Bastian Schweinsteiger though - I've been impressed by him. Be great if we could do a double deal for Lukas Podolski as well.

I heard the interview with Louis Saha and he seems to really be committed to getting his fitness up and making a career at United. I hope he can do it, he's class when he's on form and a fully fit Louis Saha would be like a new signing.

Looks like we got one player coming in? guessing a striker or defender. We got lots of midfield I guess we could argue we have plenty of strikers now, rooney, tevez, manucho, saha (if he stays fit). Guess two of them are ? but there also ron who "could" play upfront if needed.

Could be some kidology from Sir Alex, but I bet if the right players are available that there will be two or more (especially if Ronaldo leaves)

My money would be on a striker, if anything. I don't know why everyone things we need another right back - we won the double with Wes Brown in the position and he was brilliant + we have Gary Neville coming back, and the Brazilian twins who will progress rapidly I'm sure.

Agree's about brown, but if we lose 2 defenders to injury again which will probably happen at some point we don't have pique to fill the gap? I guess brown could go central with Simpson in again? Hows silvestre doing?

*edit* its just occurred to me we have atleast 8 defenders. More then enough, plus others who can play back like owen. Guess the only area were lacking is strikers.

Well I remember reading that he didn't get the work permit so I thought that we just didn't sign him...how do we know that he'll get it this time around?
