In January 2008, he was named in the Angolan squad for the 2008 African Cup of Nations in Ghana. He scored the opening goal in Angola's first game against South Africa, and struck a further two goals in their second match against Senegal in a 3-1 win. On 4 February, Manucho scored Angola's only goal in a 2–1 loss to Egypt. Although the result meant Angola were knocked out of the tournament, Manucho's 25-yard effort was described as "the goal of the tournament so far".[9] At the end of the tournament, Manucho was included in the "Best XI", a team of the best players in each position.

Hope he gets that permit. Here's the goal mentioned above. Not bad.

Although yet to obtain a work permit, Manucho remains confident things will be sorted in time for him to link with his new team-mates for pre-season.

Would be good if we could. Having a new striker would sure make it easier.

Manchester United medical staff met with the medical team from the Portuguese FA and Cristiano Ronaldo in Lisbon today regarding the ongoing treatment of his injured right ankle.

As a result, further specialist advice is being sought and an announcement will be made on any action in due course.

Typical, news is finally starting to settle that he's going no where like SAF always said and now it will sods law he will be injured all season. Anyone know the news on this. I heard before he would need surgery? Wonder how long that will keep him out for, couple of months?

Because probably we have used the dark blue color many times in the previous seasons as alternate kits. Beside it's dark blue not chelskish blue...

But a better reason I think it is made for European matches, probably because the fact that we won our first European Cup wearing the dark blue jersey against Benfica 50 years ago.
