They banned vidic for Inter match, stupid. I don't why Uefa acts seperately but when they can harm united they align theirselves with Fifa cups. Another nasty trick from Morati and Jose, Damn them.

Vidic will miss the away leg. It's a pity, but Evans has shown that he is more then capable to play in big games. And if not so, we also have Brown at our disposal

If all these players are fit that is.

Help?

Anybody see Brown's shinpads? They looked like something a little kid would get with himself kicking a ball and his favourite team logo on it.

another good win, 13th clean sheet in a row (13 is nasty). 5 points clear so after tommorow's match there are 3 scenario.

draw - 4 points clear of both
chelsea win - 5 of liverpool 2 of chelsea
liverpool win -5 of chelsea and 2 of liverpool

and in all cases we have 1 game in hand, so if they draw and we win that match its 7 points cleae

very stupid how vidic is banned for cl match against inter that red card he got was in a match that isnt related to european championships it's a World event against a NON european team how does someone getting a red cad agannst non european team warrant a 1 match ban in european competiton that's bollocks. Nomatter what clubs player gets the red the competiton he got the red in is completly unrelated to CL how can u justify say a english club player getting a red card say in a FA cup match and not get baned in CL yet a red card iin CWC gets u 1 match ban? Wheres the damn logic in that that`s bollock. This is clearly hate towards man u. I don recall any rule that says a red card in a non CL competition can ge a player a match ban in CL i could be wrong. Seems like they invented some new rule.

This is just wrong no player who gets a red card in CWC should get a match ban in UCL there playing teams from a completly different region`. Not only that they handed out the match ban a very long time after the incident happened in 1st place. If they handedout the matc ban alot earlier at least he wouldve missed a less impoortant match (i think could be wrong again) i think is just ludacris and BS and a disgraceful decison.

Isn`t it a coincedence that the fifa president is italian and the decision came so late so he misses a key match against an italian team with a stupid BS ban? What a surprise when Italy bought the world cup who was FIFA president then o wait Italian sep blatter oh geez what a coincedence huh? Sepp Blatter is rigging stuff in favor of his countres clubs/national team IN MY OPINION.

take all the match fixing scandals in italy as proof this theory is believeable oh and about 92% of the itaian squad is from the teams involved in the serie a match fixing scandals. See how it all connects? Don`t dare say Italy didn`t buy the world cup cause you all know they did.

Ok saying blatter purposely gave the ban to vidic to give his countries club an advantge in CL is a little farfetched but its defintly possible based on past events. Its just such a coincedence. what do you all think of my theory? NOTE: this is my personal opinion/theory and not trying to claim its fact so plz don`t bash me in a rude fashion and plz be honest in your response.

so key points in theory.
1. match fixing scandal in italy
2. fifa president italian
3. very long delayed decison that leads to match bn vs italian team.
hmmmm....

Draw is the best way on Italy.
Actally Man Utd was bad against Italy(except AS Rom)

I hope Liverpool win because they will play suck eventually. But Chelsea is always danger.

Sepp Blatter is Swiss.

This ban is like peanuts compared to when Rooney got a red card in a pre-season friendly Amsterdam tournament and then was banned for 3 EPL games as a result.

I'm pretty confident we can handle Inter's attack with or without Vidic, the real test will be for our forwards.

Well we will just have to absorb it and move on.. double standards against us as usual. BUt im sure we can cope without vidic. Both brown and evans are more than capable of deputizing.

As for the everton game, it was a vital vital win. Good to pull away from the rest. These 1-0 wins are not bothering me at all. Carrick was just outstanding. Terrific performance from the lad. Doesnt get the credit he deserves though.

I wouldn't say that. Recently we haven't done that badly against Italian opposition. Sure we lost against AC Milan twice but we've come out on top against Juventus the last games (winning 3-0 at the Delle Alpi springs to mind) and we also knocked Inter out the last time we played them.
And well, we probably don't need to talk about Roma...
Anyway, I don't really mind how Chelsea and L'pool play, mind you, I think a Chelsea win would be the "worst case scenario".

I think it could be 1-1 today.

Was the last time we played Inter in the treble season? I can remember us playing them since. We lost to Lazio in the supercup as well. So we don't do brilliantly against Italian oppostion, but Inter don't play that great in the CL so I fancy our chances.

Yeah, but who cares about the Supercup?
I think you could be right with your prediction. I was going for a 1-1, too.
A similar game to the Arsenal-L'pool game.

I care a little bit. Especially when Paul Scholes tries to play volleyball when we're losing :D
It was annoying that he got suspended for that, but it was worth it just for entertainment value.
