Giroud is better for sure. Welbeck's not good enough as first choice striker but he is a very reliable backup striker. He did very well in Rooney's and RvP's absense last year under Moyes. He scored like 9 goals in the limited play time he had. He offers something different. Falcao on the other hand is just like RvP. Doesn't offer a different dimension.

Man Utd fans cheer up.....

Nani, Paul Pogba and Danny Welbeck all scored winning goals tonight.

ok ... its facepalm from this point till the end of this season

Probably many defeats and draws ... I predict 6th or 7th finish in the league

Manchester United loan star Radamel Falcao will play for the U21s against Tottenham on Tuesday evening after being left out of the FA Cup defeat to Arsenal.

Holy shit.

Don't get me started on Moyes. van Gaal is not doing the best but we are still way better than last season. At this stage last season we were 7th showing absolutely no signs of improvement. Our style is boring but much better this season. Moyes's attitude was to prevent the other team to score than to score.

Man U isn't incapable of utilizing superstar strikers. You messed up with Forlán and are doing the same with Falcao who have been stars almost everywhere else they've been.

7th with more points though, right?

This is completely irrelevant. In some seasons, 79 points have been enough to in the league and in other seasons, 93 points. The overall league position is more important. Comparing points from different seasons makes absolutely no sense. If you're 4th with the same number of points as last year and last year you were 7th, it means the league games are tougher this season.

What are you talking about Forlan was given lots of time to shine. He started many games. He was far from a "superstar striker" then. He as an unknown from Uruguay.

Falcao has not been given the chance to start up front with a supporting striker/AMF. He has only played ith RvP. He can't work with a striker who plays just like him.

Or it just means that the 3-4 teams above you are stronger.

Better have 3 teams stronger than you than 6 teams stronger than you. We may still end up 7th with our fixtures though.

I do agree with overall league position and points debate ...

However, you need to consider the fact that we only bought Fellaini/Mata (January) last year and we were involved in Champions League as well, I think we reached QF in champions league and semi in league cup.

LVG team had only league to concentrate on, and all rivals were involved in Champions League or Europa League ... Liverpool vastly improved after champions league exclusion ... #MoyesIn was a joke but I don't see much improvement based on our load and 100m transfers.
