Why are you guys still arguing about this? Eto'o himself wanted to leave, I think he had some problem with Guardiola, even during the season they won the treble. Yeah it was bad business for Barca, but Eto'o wouldn't have stayed no matter what. They should have gone for David Villa in the first place and sold Eto'o for peanuts, even if that's all it would have taken.nady;3800728 said:I don't understand how you think 65 millions for Zlatan was good. Zlatan was approx the same age as Eto'o and I am sure Eto'o would have done better than Zlatan that season. Zlatan did not meet expectations and was overpriced and flopped. I do not understand how he was worth 65 millions and I do not understand why Barcelona fans at that time thought it was reasonable.
And you cannot say that he exactly flopped, okay maybe you can, I remember that season very well when they were playing against Inter needing a goal and Ibra was taken off for Bojan (who was still pretty good at that time). In conclusion Ibra is not exactly a big game player and it was a bad deal except for Inter who won the treble that season. Not because of Eto'o, but Mourinho and Sneijder's form. How he didn't win the ballon'dor that season is beyond me.
