Luca Toni.....enough said.

I don't agree. Luca Toni made a great World Cup, the goals didn't come in. In the first match against Ghana, Toni in front does a lot alone. At least, much more than other guys like Ronaldo or Pauleta.

Ronaldino isn't a striker guys...... so I don't know why everyone expects him to score everytime he touches the ball.

We expected him to do something useful, but we got back/side passes. Plus i dont recall seeing the man getting past one defender.

We also expect an idol to show a little respect for the country, instead of doing/going to parties in Barcelona 2 days after the elimination. Like he cares anyway.

I think the most dissapointing player was Ronaldinho cause he wasn't able to go past defenders, his shots were bad and he didn't show anything good ... he was one of the worst players and he didn't show what he is capable of doing as he does at Barcelona. And Brazil was the most dissapointing team from this World Cup. Hope they will do better at the next World Cup.

Most disappointing player: RONALDINHO.

And well deserved.

The expectations were HUGE. His skills were all over the internet, the tv commercials and even implemented in games. But in the WC, a very average player, with below average passes, and terrible easy Free Kick misses.

He didn't get past a single defender throught all WC matches.
He didn't shoot one impressive shot at the goal.

Terrible.

EDIT: I saw a video of Ronaldinho repetitively shooting the ball at the post, then receiving it outside the box. Then doing it again and again. How the hell could someone like that not score at will, given the many chances he had?

A total let-down.

Ronaldinho :rockman:

Brazil expected him to do a miracle or something. He will never perform with lazy players like Ronaldo.

At least he has a excuse, unlike other players. It was a long season.

I don't really care, though. I can't wait to see him with the blaugrana shirt again.

- Ronaldinho played in a heavily defensive system with brazil, while at barca they play offensive football.

- Ronaldo was way too fat.

- Lampard missed a lot of chances.

- RVN didn't play much.

- Messi didn't play much but when he did it was awesome

- Riquelme, well you can blame the coach, he made him play that meaningless game against the Netherlands and you could see he was way too tired after that. During the Mexico game he was already spent.

- Ballack was injured practically the whole turney.

- Pauleta plays in a team that doesn't wanna play for him, Figo and C. Ronaldo are talented players but they never ever wanted to make a pass for him (specially C. Ronaldo).

- Deco didn't show in his match against us.

- USA Team, seriously what did you expect another quarter final?.

Exactly, not fit, did anyone really expect some magic by Rooney after the injury?

Lampard for me, and then Ronaldinho and maybe Ballack.

I am not disappointed by his performance
But feel disappointed as he wasn't fit!

I think people could have seen Lampard's poor world cup coming.

His form was awful from february on IMO

I don't know why Shevchenko deserved to be on the list.

As for Ronaldinho, well, you can't be the best all the time. He had an exhausting season with Barcelona and now people (mostly Brazilians) expect him to single handedly win them the trophy. You can't play surrounded by shi.t after a loooong season. Plus, you could see Parreira didn't know what to do with Ronaldinho. He could learn from Rijkaard.
The Brazilian posters make me laugh. You people expect the impossible, and when it's not delivered to your spoiled little asses, you take a random shot at the player you choose to blame. Why didn't you blame Ronaldo, or Adriano, or Kaka? Those are all Brazilian idols, but they didn't get insults, unlike the "clown" Ronaldinho.
It's now obvious that Brazilians don't watch a lot of Barcelona and Ronaldinho. If they had, they'd know it's pretty hard to impress in a tournament after your strengths were spent in a long and hard season.

Besides, knowing how Robinho (a pretty useless player, like Cristiano Ronaldo) was labelled in Brazil as the best thing since Pele, which was disrespectful towards THEE best player on Earth, you people didn't even deserve his appearance in Germany. He should have stayed at home and watch the Brazilian NT do all they can to help Ronaldo surpass Schuster, because that seems to be the only goal Parreira had in mind.

One other thing, talking about how Ronaldinho doesn't care is pretty stupid seeing how he cried after the match. But no, that's not enough for Brazil. He was supposed to cry his soul out back in Brazil and then go out and let random citizens take swings at him. That would be real justice. This way, he showed a lot of disrespect towards Brazil by leaving FOR HIS HOME AFTER BEING ELIMINATED.

I can accept that people think Ronaldinho failed, and he did. But I can't accept him being insulted, because he didn't deserve it.
Criticism will make him play even better for Barca, and insults will make him play extremely lazy for Brazil, which is exactly what that country deserves.

I blame a good chunk of Henry and Adriano's subpar outputs on their respective coaches.

I personally don't advocate swearing over the internet but I've gotta let these two out at the headache inducing mishandling of these two players for a moment......forgive me, fellow SGers........

Mr. Carlos Alberto Parreira, **** you, man.

Mr. Raymond Domenech, **** you and your sweet looking thick, black eyebrows, man.

Lampard had something like 21 shots on goal throughout the tournament. If he scored just 1/5 of that tally of shots we wouldn't be talking about him now.

Rob pretty much hit the nail on the head.

i agree with you here, call me spoiled but could we have played better or at least more offensive football, prolly. The problem was our defenders would've needed an extra pair of lungs to make up for our "grandpas".

i still think Henry and Treze can make a good attacking duo, it's up to the coach to make good use of them. They are the only players from this squad who are going to be back for the euro qualifiers so whoever gets to be the coach needs to make 'em work together.

PS: our euro qualifier zone is prolly the hardest ever.

Bench Vieira...........

why? he has turned out good in the knockout stages, if it was up to me i would bench abidal and make Flo play as a false LB (meaning he'd still be a left winger) and of course would play Treze.

But, you don't mess with a winning formula :$

I picked Ronaldinho not because of his useless display on the WC. I picked him because after the elimination it's well known around here he went to party. That's lack of consideration. I wasnt too pissed off at it, and honestly i saw it coming, but there were a lot of Brazilians with tears in their faces. And their biggest idol just shown he didnt give a damn. I didnt pick Kaká because at least he cared, and he had a decent tournament apart from the France game, in which he clearly looked out of condition. Dont blame Ronaldinho's poor performance on the tactical aspect. He played out of position? Yes! But still, every time he got the damn ball he couldnt do nothing with it. That's not his position's fault.

Ronaldo, yes, he can be blamed too. But he went through many **** this WC, still managed 3 goals and still, against France, he had our one dangerous shot during the whole game. And he got a good free-kick, which your marvelous Ronaldinho also managed to screw-up. Adriano, well, i didnt expect much of him anyway.

And no, our country doesnt deserve the crap Ronaldinho and some other players (Adriano, Carlos and co) gives us. You can play bad alright. But dont "celebrate" our elimination in a nightclub. And Ronaldo surpassed Gerd Muller, not Schulster, get your facts straight.

To finish the argument, yes, Ronaldinho is a clown circus. At least he was during training, where he did everything like trick on his book to make all the youngsters in training cream themselves whilst trying to adapt to his position, which he clearly didnt.

A TV show even managed to call Carlos on his house. There was so much noise (especially music and people talking) that it was incredible. Brazil got eliminated. Let's party!
