is there a tutorial about??

do i jus add a player to the table, with the id number it creates, or do i have to start from a certain value?

when I create new players, the database starts assigning IDs from 55013. Such players are then listed as "Creation Center Players", and if I set the jersey number and other parameters to this new player, these values do not appear in the game. So adding new player in the Access database brings the same limitations as adding new players through the CC? Or did anybody find a way how to add a NEW player to the database and set his correct jersey number???

Rid is working on a tool that can add complitly new players to the database...

I'm nut sure but I think we can change the ID's of the newly added player. I have studied ACCESS...so I try to discover this ;)

OK. Thanks. For creating a whole new league I need to add many new players, so I cannot continue the work until we can figure this out.

great! I have started making the czech league overwriting k-league teams and some israeli teams, but need to add 4-10 players to each team. The rid's tool would save my a** :D

unfortunatelly Czech league has 16 teams and there is no 16 teams league in FIFA 2003. So i cannot create full featured league (league, promotions, relegations, teams in the europesn cups, national cup,...), I can only create a new 16team competition in the CC :(((

I'd like to know certain things if someone can enlighten me...

or if someone might want to give out a tutorial explaining what each category of the dev_all_data means...

but here are some questions to begin with:
1) How can I choose a captain for my team?
2) what is the playing style in the team table?
3) what color are the boottypes?
4) what are the colors in numbercolor in the kits table?

anyone who knows any of these answers please tell me...

Did you see the news about the Kit Raptor 2.0 at Socceraccess ? You can set the jersey colors, fonts and placements, add 3rd kits, gk kits without using ACCESS. It's great.

Ariel's tools are awesome. :rockman:

I really miss a tool or a way to add captains. :(

yes, I've read it. This tool will help us very much. I also miss the possibility so set the captain, I haven't found any captaincy variable in the access database :(

Yeah adding players in the Access DB does have some advantage though. You cant decide their number or position, but by adding them, u dont lose the whole teams numbers and positions like u do in the CC ;)

Why don't you replace the Belgian league and add and 2 2nd division teams? I'll use these to create the Romanian league (it has also 16 teams).

wait a second.
I created like 40 players now and they do not appear in the CC in the section of CC Created Players. but this is coz I didnt assigned a team to them.
If for example, I put them in Arsenal, then the players appear in the Arsenal team and with the number I gave them in the position I gave them.
So can you explain me why is this not working for you guys?

and also, I created a new league in access and I put just 16 teams on it, one that I create and then 15 that were already in the game (you can set more that one competition for eah team).
anyway, the league is still not working in the game but it appears in the CC

Ok...thanks for the color help...I'm starting to get the hang of this...

I also realised that when you assign a specific face to a player you also get his shoes...I gave a beckham face to a custom player and...voila! red shoes on!

All I need to know now is How Do I Change The Teams Logo on the menus...

when I add a team logo to an edited team on CC (eg. I make Panathinaikos over Brugge FC) I get to see my logo (panathinaikos) when the game begins...flags and all, but on the menus I keep getting Brugges logo...how come? and how can I change this?

Also I tried experimenting a bit...boottype numbers don't seem to make any difference...

I also thought I found the long awaited Answer to how to pick a captain when I saw a column called x_rank...I tried giving 1 to a player from my team (all other players have a 0 BTW) and nothing happened...I can't understand what this column does...pitty...

I'd really appreciate any help...

P.S. is Kit Raptor going to be able to add kits to teams without messing up with the other changes (non-kit ones) made by the CC and the access DB?

Yeah, im really not sure sometimes the new players seem to work, and other times they dont. When u say the position u gave them, do u mean the position in Arsenal, OR the positional preference of the player, because the latter always works ;)
Also the player doesnt appear in the CC created players in the main window of the CC, but if u open the package window (the little tab), than they will appear as added players there. Its because the CC knows it didnt add them, but also knows they werent in the original FIFA db ;)

Yeah Leagues do seem to cause problems. When i added the Confederations Cup, it looked fine in the CC, but in the game, not only did it not appear, it also put all the Rest of World teams into the International group, all the International teams dissappeared, and the rest of world group disappered!

not sure what goes on with added teams. I also found out what the free kick postion is, and as someone said earlier it is just binary for yes or no in the different kciking positions, BUT they arent listed in the order they appear on the screen. I cant remember the exact order, but its something like this:
FK=1
SK=2
LC=4
RC=8
PK1=16
2=32
3=64
4=128
5=256

If a player is more than one of those things, add the two numbers together ;)

what would be really useful would be an easy reference guide to faces and hair styles so you could look at the face number and have a picture of the face next to it to save going back through the CC all the time

Yeah, but u need the CC open anyway, to install the package, and can u imagine trying to describe all the different faces?
Ur better off to just leave the CC open in the background, whilst editing in access.

Maybe one day someone will be bothered to make a program which lets u see the faces etc, whilst editing the Access database (i know that VB is a very easy language to manipulate Access DB's in)
