i like iverson too. huge heart, but an even bigger ego. that man has to touch the BALL on every possesion, not because it makes the team better, but because he wants it that way. i'm glad that he wants that responsibility, but he seems extremely selfish. a hell of a player though, no way anybody can deny that.

not what i meant. selfish as in he comes in first then the team. he's a stat guy. he averages 8 assists per game because he runs the offense and EVERY play goes through him. i love him as a player, he just seems selfish to me. when i watch him too it just seems like his ego overshadows everybody else.

Every great player has an ego as big as his greatness, they don't necesarily need to show it for it to be there. If every play didn't go through AI the Sixers would be even more s*it then they are now. And another thing with his size he needs that ego, it's amazing seeing a 6'3" guard drive in against Shaq, KG or Duncan he's an amazing player.

I agree but I think Iverson should win it anyway just because he is the man. Screw that big fat ass down in Miami give it to AI!!!
Alex STFU "big fat ass" is the best player in the NBA and the MVP, who will take Miami to its first ever NBA Finals and possibly i will celebrate a parade down here.

AI is great, but he don't trust his players, Shaq makes his teammates better.

Eddie Jordan wins his 100th NBA game and breaks a 5-game losing streak. Wizards are now 6th ranked in the East, down from 4th.

Reggie Miller passed Jerry West on the all time scoring list with his 19 today. (H)

And who would have thought Indiana would be 5th at this stage of the season considering how many games our players have missed? I reckon we could make a strong run in the playoffs if we get Jermaine and Tinsley back in time.

yes shaq makes his team better... without him miami will never be this good...
although he is great.. I don't think he will get the MVP this year... he's not dominating as much anymore

if I can vote I would consider my vote to go to one of these:
KG: he's the only one playing hard in minny... but his teammates :kader:
nash: he provided phoenix with leadership and he's been the best pg this season, he made phoenix a whole lot better
lebron: he's putting up awesome numbers but until his team get better
TD: well if only he hadn't injured himself a couple of weeks ago
AI: a monster at the offensive end, but still hoping he can make his teammates better

I guess nash should be the frontrunner coz this year there isn't anything negative for him so far and the suns are playing awesome

thats actually a very well assesment of the mvp candidates...

i still don't like the way mvp is chosen. i would give it to the best player period. without including the team record. but i think it is between nash and shaq. i think nash has an edge because without him the suns are pure crap. its been proven. without shaq, miami is still a good team and can win without him. the suns on the other hand would be swept in the playoffs if nash wasnt there.

You guys are crazy. Steve Nash couldn't guard me if Tonya Harding's husband took out my leg 5 minutes before hand. Call me crazy, but I think the MVP should be a player who plays on both ends of the floor.

Oh, and AI isn't 6'3'', he's 6'0'' if he's a foot. Oh, and this year is different from other years because AI does trust some of those guys out there now. Andre Iguodala has just the complete respect of Iverson, I mean he'll just throw the ball up anywhere near the hoop and know Iggy will just go get it. He also trusts Dalembert on the boards, defense, and even with some interior scoring. He trusts Weber because you have to trust a player like that. Iverson has probably had one of the best seasons in his career this year, and he's more of a team player than he's ever been. Shaq is not having one of the best seasons of his career.

But that doesn't change the fact that it's Shaq by a mile. Seriously, if Shaquile O'Neil doesn't win the MVP this year it would be the biggest screw job since Malone or Barkley got it because everyone was just "tired of voting for Jordan."

Nash has completely turned the Suns around turning them into a powerhouse in the West. BUT Shaq-dizzle has singlehandedly made Miami a title contender and I simply feel he is slightly ahead of Nash due to the impact he has had.

Sorry, but other guys could have done to the Suns what Nash has done, and played defense at the same time. I think if it was Bibby instead of Nash, the Suns are just as good. On the other hand, no one could have done the same in place of Shaq. Look at the swing in wins between the Lakers and Heat.

And how do you know it's been all Nash, I'd say Q is also vitally important to the upswing in the Suns, or any number of things. Shaq left the west, so they can play Amare at Center.

In fact, look at Dallas. They have been great without Nash. The lakers can't say the same thing without Shaq.

Plus, Kidd, Bibby, Marbury, Davis..... just to name a few.

Nah, not Marbury. Way too selfish and he wouldn't get all of those talented players in Phoenix involved.

By the way, does anyone think Sean May is just destined for the Knicks whenever he comes out? Undersized PF, a little outta shape. I mean, how obvious is it.

I think he's destined for the CBA (H)
Nah but yeah I see your point and don't forget ridiculously high salary once his rookie contract expires.

We own the Hawks, we were up 30 in the 4th (H)!!!! BTW if we can win one of the games against the Heat and Wizards we would finish the year 8-8 in the Southeast Division...not too bad for an expansion team.
