Sorry, Steaua, but I don't buy Stein's argument. The Bobcats won't win 20 games; I mean we thought the 17 win Nugs were the worst team in decades. I don't buy the "he's seeing more attention because no one on his team is that good" argument because he's not putting up mind blowing numbers by any means. Rebounds aren't something that you can deny to one person by concentrating on them and he's only scoring 14 points a game. I mean, 14/10 is good, but come on, Ben Gordon puts up more points and assists and plays 11 less minutes a night. Plus how many games has he single handedly won for the Bulls? Okafor's 0.9 assists per game really irks me too, because while big men don't get the opportunity to assist as much as guards I really do expect 2 assists per game from a starting big man who plays that much. I mean, Ben Wallace gets more assists per game, and he doesn't know the game at ALL.

Oh, and Dwight Howard has identical stats (except for 3 less ppg) in fewer minutes on a better team.

You say 0.9 apg bother you for a starting big man but what about a guard who gets nearly 25 minutes per game and only averages 2 assists per game? And how does a big man average more steals than a small fast guard like Gordon? All Gordon does is SHOOT he just makes them at the right time; that shouldn't give him rookie of the year. I would rank this years rookies like this: Okafor, Howard, Gordon.

Really? Than why do only 11 players average a double double (including Okafor) in a league of more than 350 players?

edit: Okafor with 20 points 8 rebounds already with 5 minutes left in the 2nd quarter against Gordon's Bulls...........

edit2: he finished with 28 points 16 rebounds 5 blocks in 38 minutes. gordon had 2 points in 13 minutes.

sounds like sth the most dominant man in the nba does regularly... I think his name is shaq.... just don't call shaq an idiot.. :P

it's different when comparing a big player to a small player(guards)..
but what important is, is what the player does on the court and not only things that are stats related... like hustle..defense.. making the right decisions during play etc..etc..
it will be a close race.. but I think okafor will edge gordon by a couple of votes

and yeah Deng is a solid player.... Bulls are gonna be good... let's hope Curry's heart problem isn't anything serious

My money is on Orlando right now, out of the three they DO have the toughest schedule left with games against Dallas and the Heat but they are just riding on momentum right now winning 3 of their last 4 and beating New Jersey tonight a very importand win. It would suck not seeing Iverson in the playoffs but he can't do it alone especially now that Webber got injured (surprise surprise ).

Did anyone catch when Kwame Brown was about to fight Brendon Haywood in the middle of the game the other night? He's pissing off everybody by being a dumbass and not delivering. When will the Wizards realize that he sucks, especially considering that he was a #1 draft pick. This dick needs to get lost--now.

My God the Cavs suck , seriously if they don't sign Ray Allen or Redd over the summer I think LeBron will leave them when his contract expires. Anyone else watching the game on ABC right now?

PS: I'm happy that they are losing though because the lower the fall in the standings the higher the pick the Bobcats will get in the draft since we have one of their first round picks

edit: wow they sure came back in the 4th, the Mavs looked like s*it down the stretch. LeBron at the point is just brilliant.

I'm not exactly sure on the details of it but I'm pretty sure it has something to do with us giving them Pavlovic after we picked him up in the expansion draft. All I know is that we have a guaranteed first round picked from the Cavs and I'm hoping that they fall to the 8th spot and lose to the Heat in the first round so that it ends up being a pretty nice pick, it would be even better if they miss the playoffs completely and enter the lottery but that's not gonna happen.

20.2 ppg, 11.4 rpg, 3.0 bpg, 1.4 spg
If those aren't ROY numbers I don't know what are, heck he could win EC player of the week with those kinda numbers too bad the 'Cats only went 1-4 during that stretch...he needs help

FINALLY the Celtics are back to winning ways, making it 2 wins in 2 nights. I was really starting to get worried with such a losing skid, but hopefully things are seeming alright for the moment. Hopefully Antoine get better really, really fast, for the playoffs, or even the last week of the season.

BTW I feel bad for LeBron. Other then Big Z, his team has no other great player to really support him. If he's going to be the next so called "MJ" then he's definately gonna need a Pippen... and perhaps a Rodman and Kerr as well
