Melo's on fire! It's too early to tell, but if he continues this way, he might nip the MVP title this season.

Ehhhh, I'd give it to Kevin Durant at this point. Scoring is about equal (Durant is more efficient), Durant leads in Rebounds and Assists, and the Thunder are better than the Knicks so far. Melo is having a great year, but some of it (46% shooting on 5.6 three pointers per game) is unsustainable.

Dude, shut the hell up, Lebron and Durant are by far better players at this point, based on EVERYONE's opinion but yours.

Agree with Durant - Lebron.... ehhh, he's ok.
Kobe is still good, but not as good as Durant.

Looks like kids are still falling for the Kobe marketing bullshit. I mean are you fucking serious about LeBron, he is by everyone's opinion, the best player since Jordan.

Lebron is the best player, it's not a debate anymore. The only reason he might not win MVP this year is because those that give out the award would like to see someone else get it, namely Durant.

Kobe was great a few years ago and still is a very good player but he isn't the top superstar anymore.

Durant actually does lead LeBron in Hollinger's Value metric, which attempts to be something like the baseball stat "Wins over Replacement", but LeBron leads in PER.

Lebron does so many more things for his team, in comparing him with Kobe (even in his prime).

I don't jump into the Lebron hype. Once he wins 5 more championships, he'll be the best and up there with Jordan.
Same with Durant. Jordan led his team to Championships, even though he wasn't surrounded by the best.

LeBron won the most recent title and got to the finals the year before. Kobe hasn't been in 3 years. Are we talking about the best player or the best career? LeBron is at a level right now that Kobe has never attained.

When it was "just Kobe" from 04/05 to 06/07 (after Shaq, before Gasol), the Lakers were .500 also rans. When it was "just LeBron" in Cleveland, they were always contenders, and averaged 64 wins his final two seasons. His first year in Miami, the Cavs won 19 games.

I'm not saying Kobe is better now, but in his prime he won more championships.
I also am not a Cleveland fan, so when he left I didn't care. He isn't clutch at all. Durant has more potential to be better than Lebron, but as of now, they are even in my perspective. He doesn't show up well in the big moments.

He did last year. And LeBron is 7 years younger and only 4 rings behind. Give it time. And also give him a Prime Shaq.

I will. He has a Wade and a Bosh, although Wade is showing his age.
