Emre's going to be a Toon legend.

He brings flair and creativity to the side which we've lacked seriously in the past.

It was a scrappy game today against Birmingham City which we wouldn't have won this time last season. City played 5 across mid-field and made it tough for us to create many chances but we found that all important opening.

EDIT: Can't find the goal yet on the usual sites, it'll be around tomorrow no doubt.

I haven't seen the goal yet but I'm delighted for him.

Newscatsle is officially one of my favourite teams of the world now lol.
Although not where they should be. Newcastle this season should be contesting for a CHAMPIONS LEAGUE spot. They have so much quality especially from the new signings this season. Emre Parker Moore Solano the mighty owen. Alongside the likes of Boumsong Carr Given Shearer etc.
sorry to be a liverpool fan replying in this thread but ill be following newcastle more often now. Alhtough still not as good as liverpool lol.
Anyway how is Luque going? ONce his better your team will be so prime!

Although you guys came out witha lost You guys just seem to be out of form. The standouts included Scott Parker and Boumsong.
FINALLY luque is back. Started great until the pressure mounted upon him. We really needed Owen up front to convert the chances you guys had that Owen will usually finish.
Owell theres always next game.

That was the biggest pile of turd we've dished up so far this season.

There are rumours circulating among the grapevine that Michy Owen is picking and choosing games when he feels like it. We were told all week he'd be 100% ready for the game then at the last minute he's pulled out of the squad with a ‘recurrence' of his groin injury, what rubbish, no statement from Owen what so ever or Souness to confirm that. If this is true he can **** off! He seems to be putting England and the WC ahead of his club, the club are the ones paying you 80k a week, Mr Owen! Sort it out!

Where do i start with Souness? Just please sack the miserable jock bastard, Freddy!

Positives: Parker! Give him the captaincy when Shearer retires. He works hard and isn't afraid to get stuck in, if only the other players took his example. Shay Given, he was practically a sweeper as well as keeper on Sunday, we ******* love you Shay.

i felt in first half we had tht extra bit of class like tht move tht played in ameobi, but everytime we tryed to play eveton booted us off the field like we weud string 2 passes together then BOOM! sumones on the floor and tht ended up sinking ou heads, plus if anyone saw it on sky sports _ bramble is the biggest pile of.... he cnt even do the simlpe things, boumsong actully looks amazinng compared to him, luque was bit poor, maybe rusty?, emre bit hidden, solano best outfield player for most part, so wat does souness do sub him 4 bowyer at a crucial time?also parker was equal best, more attacking than emre at times, giev again is god, should be our next captain just if its 2 keep him at club.
Nver bin fan of souness, my view on our match

Oh well fellas. We should be able to pick yourself up and get a good result against wigan although they arent doing badly. Yeah i agree about Parker captaincy. I say give it to im now. Shearer is a very well respected person but you would hav to say parker deserves it. Hes impressed me especially against Chelsea how Makelele took a meal out of his own challenge knocking over parker but parker just stood up and continued play. What a champ.
If owen doesnt play against wigan, sorry to say but you guys have an unfaithful player in your hands. When he plays hes reliable but its not good enough for a players attitude to be like that. Otherwise overall the teams looking good, not the form of the team, and after this WIN things should go good again. Until you guys verse liverpool lol.

Souness was a last resort after a rushed, undeserved sacking. Give him to the end of the year and by then the board could've gathered a sufficient shortlist of candidates.

If we sack him now, we get Glenn Roeder!

There's no decent candidates available at the moment. Alain Perrin? No thanks.

I don't buy that mate, what so ever.

By the time Souness is finished with us we'll be well within the ranks of midtable mediocrity if not lower and you know as well as me to sustain the clubs recent transfer spending we need European football.

I'm sure Graeme is a good man and all and you have to give him credit for kicking out the trouble makers but he's a tactical wuss, no, let me rephrase, a tactical nightmare.

What makes you think there will be more candidates in the Summer? I'm pretty sure Freddy wont make the same mistake and has a shortlist compiled already. I can think of numerous managers this club could attract. Ranieri, Burley, Curbishly and O'Neill to name a few, even if it meant appointing a caretaker manager until the summer, anything is better than Souness. I've heard Keegan's name muttered on the grapevine too :p

Yeh that is true, you would rather compete for a european spot than then leave Souness incharge letting you drift about in midtable. AS i said before the newcastle squad is very very strong. Souness cant seem to find the spark inside yous. BTW luque and Owen better score hattricks each tonight lol i added them to my fantasy team.

This season is fast becoming a nightmare.

With N'Zogbia braking his wrist in training Souness was left with no other choice than to play a 4-3-3 consisting of only 5 or 6 players who would get on what you would perceive a full strength side.

It wasn't the best spectacle of games and in all honestly we were lucky to get a point. Gareth Barry's penalty miss may well have saved Souness' job. Either way things aren't looking good what so ever :nape:

Well, simply put, if we sack him now, we're unlikely to get a decent replacement. Not unless Guus Hiddink turns up and fancies seeing the Baltic, or something.
