Nah Guus is staying with us aussies he promised oredy ahaha.
But yeah Souness should be sacked this intant. Another sloppy game. So lucky Barry missed that and now all i think you guys should do is spend on a new defender to strengthen up your squad, coz moore aint ever coming back stupid moore lol, and find a decent tactician that can get your team together. Also gotta get Owen back on the field.
otherwise not a bad result, well a lucky result with only half a squad.

Great win. Not only good for yous but that knocks arsenal further back for the title challenge. I think you guys will actually compete for 4th along side arsenal totenham and everton BY THE END of the season.
But a new coach maybe still needed.

Sven is a fool not to include Scott Parker in the England team.

Why hasn't he chosen Parker before? Neville is playing defensive midfielder regularly for Everton, so is Carrick (well somewhat defensive), but it is blatantly obvious that Parker seems the best among the 3.

Why does Sven opt for King instead? any insights?

Parkes really is the "steal" of the Season - Chelksi wouldn't have needed to spend so much on Essien, if they'd kept Parker...Well good for the Toon Army and the Premiership.

Hopefully Sven will come to senses and includ him in his squad.

What's was up with Parker - why didn't he play against the Mickeys ?

Alltough Newcastle lost the MoM was Given - frankly he's been outstanding since years - be lucky to have him.

Unlucky with the 2nd goal, but that was a match wich wasn't going Newcastle's way anyway (when Shearers shot was blocked by the own player)

the Red Card IMO was correct BUT Crouch and Gerrard, maybe even Morientes should have walked too.

Really too bad Taylor got injuried again. I really like his style, he reminds me a lot about Tony Adams in a way.

He was suspended (5 yellow cards I think).

I thought it was very harsh. Bowyer's reputation preceeded him. I think there's way too much huff and puff about stupid little incidents like that. It all escalated into chaos when he it a clumsy challenge end of.

Metatarsal Agony For Owen

Newcastle and England striker Michael Owen could be out for several months after fracturing his fifth metatarsal bone.

The 26-year-old was substituted at half-time during today's Barclays Premiership match against Tottenham.

The news will be a massive blow to Newcastle, who spent £17million on the player in August.

Newcastle boss Graeme Souness said: 'It's a mighty blow. It's an absolute disaster for him and an absolute disaster for the club. It's a dark day for us.'

Owen has struggled with injuries in the past, suffering hamstring trouble at various points in his Liverpool career after first pulling up in a game at Leeds in April 1999.

He has scored seven goals in nine starts for the Magpies since joining them from Real Madrid, including a hat-trick against West Ham on December 17.

To compound Newcastle's problems, goalkeeper Shay Given has a suspected broken thumb.

Owen plays down World Cup concern

**** the World Cup, you should be more concerned about playing for the club that payes you 70k a week wages, Michael :kader:
That really isnt fair on him though.

I mean he was most likely asked by a journo does he have any concern for the world cup, and he is just directly answering that question. You know the media works anyway, they twist everything.
