Wow, Luque, Owen and Solano in the space of a week. You guys must be elated. I dont wanna jump the gun and say things are "fixed" but the team you are fielding on paper right now, if they play to capacity, will qualify for Europe, even after a nightmare start (Y)

well now that international rubbish is over, owen has 90 full minutes under his belt, and is ready for the fulham game..... am i the only person who feels the HUGE amount of pressure on evry1 associated with Newcastle to get a result against fulham? I personally think we should win, altho with no Solano, Dyer and Milner, we look a tad light on the right.... and Luque was injured while playing for Spain... so we might not have much width... which is what we need? Hmmm, even tho, the hype and the home crowd should b enuf to get us over the line... hopefully the likes of Moore, Emre and Dyer can get fit soon and help us get back up the table....

also, we've been linked, albeit early, with a move in january for wayne bridge.... cos hes injured at the moment, but when hes fit again, he'll need to play to get into the england world cup team u'd think.... and why not follow owen's lead? Del Horno is a great player, im a big fan... but we all kno Babayaro is rubbish.... only problem is Bridge might not have great memories of Tyneside... the last game he played was there, and he did his knee... hence his current injury... :boohoo:

Firstly, nice sig, doggy. It was an awesome summer for you guys, no doubt.

For saturday, I think you will be alright. I think Fulham isnt all that dangerous, and between Parker and Boyer, im sure you can win the midfield battle. However, with so many people out, not getting a great result, I dont think, would be the worst thing in the world.

As far as Bridge goes, Jose will not be making the same mistake of having no backup like last year, but he seems to be rotating players more than last year this time around, so I think once he does get fit, Bridge will be getting games. Del Horno is sometimes lost against a good right winger, and occasionally has trouble in defense, but Bridge is consistantly good in both the defensive and offensive aspects of the game. But if we send him to you on loan in January, we want Baba back on loan in return :jambo:

They can now use that huge midfield because they have a target man. Owen should be used as a lone striker
I really think thats a mistake. Against a backline of even decent size, he will be lost, and, as people always point out, he likes to lurk among the back 4, so you need someone to pull the ball down. Playing Ameobi alongside him, in my opinion, would be a much better idea. But good luck to him and the new look Toon on saturday all the same

Proem is Ameobi is not a Premierleague footballer. He thinks he will by right inherit the #9 shirt next season, and make it into the England squad, but he's living in his own world. Harsh words but he's a waste of space up front. I'd rather have Steve Harper up there :p

Anyway we should go with a good old 4-4-2

Ameobi seems to have deteriorated since he came on to the scene 3 or 4 years ago.

He's referred to as 'bambi on ice' by some Toon fans :D

yeh, its a bit late for shola i think.... his scoring record is what? 30 goals in 117 games or sumthing? i mean big al scored 30 in one season...

also, if u want babayaro back, u can have him, hes the worst left back going round... babyaro for bridge would b like trading a carrot for lampard :p

too bad he aint playing today.... stephen carr is playing right mid.... taylor has been thrown to right back, and bramble is starting alongside Boumsong... i must question bramble's fitness... but hopefully he can show some of the form alongside Boumsong he did last season, where he actually resembled half a footballer...
