Not here you don't. Ever since I added DO_CPU_SUB=1 to my USER.INI I've been seeing the computer controlled teams making substitutions

Indeed. It makes me wonder.

Well, It's all good.

just so you guys know there is NO CHEATING at all in my latest update, and you can score many more diverse goals. the goalkeeper makes more mistakes, perhaps he runs off his line when he shouldn't and you can chip him! It's more unpredictable. There are more player mistakes too, even by the great players' so no one is perfect on the pitch. There are more stumbles and more trips. You might also notice a more aggressive CPU! = more fouls.

24th March guys...next week! ;)

I think that perhaps the CPU_SUB=3 thing has to do with the computer being able to perform more substitutions.

I'm also working on user reaction speeds, a greater balance.
The thing with my update is most people tend to love it and you get the odd people who have certain requests, so I try and bend the game towards this particular group of people, although it can become difficult, because this type of thing is very opinionated and self preference is an issue.

Thanks man, and hey check out these results! Ignore the 'fouls' for now :) World class, 12 min game. I couldn't hold them off, Brazil's through-balls and breakaways were so damn good I applauded a few of their goals! My shots were hopeless attempts from far out, I just didn't have the skill. Keeping in mind the ball physics are far more realistic and I mean MORE realistic. The way the ball falls and bounces, and the speeds are much more real. Plus, the goalkeepers for human and cpu have no advantages/disadvantages, so the world class CPU really is world class, and feels as though I may have to knock myself down to professional to score more than 1 goal per game. Oh and you'll notice that you can literally run past players' now if you're fast enough. I did manage to run past two Brazil defenders with Owen without havin to use skill. There are no speed advantages.

I don't rely on anything but my own football brain, which feels great. I love it! This way, the feedback given is taken very personally and I use this to make it better and better. I don't believe anything will beat my 3rd update except my 4th. I'm comfortable that NK FOOTBALL will be the leading gameplay update for FIFA 06, especially with FIFA-MRA support! you guys will only make this game better so keep the feedback real and I'll keep doing what I've done since FIFA 2002 ;)
Thanks,
NK.

Could be, but I've seen the computer controlled teams perform three substitutions without it, and I don't see that parameter as a separate entity in the EXE (although it is a subset of the DO_CPU_SUB parameter and so could be read that way)

that is true.

Well guys, check out these replays. One showing the speed difference between fast players' and the other showing the possibility of lobbing the defenders while a player runs onto the ball. I've done it before myself, but this was by the CPU.

Enjoy.
