Ya should have done what I did... ignored Horovojo's comment about the demo because we all know his sources don't actually exist. It's not the first time he's said some fake news to con people and I doubt it'd be the last either...

OMG! how in the name of god can people start hating hrvoje cus
they trusted him in what day the demo would come? If this isn't
some VERY special situations i would get the feeling that you guys
(the ones with homojove and posts like that) hate him because of
something which happend earlier. And if i am not totally wrong he
has been forgiven for previous dirt by the mods. So if people
start hating hrvoje cus he claimed that demo would come out
today but didn't then you have some serious issues. And anyways
I would love it if someone closed this post as the rules for the
forum does NOT condone people bashing, and hateposts...
And to you senght, if you really hate hrvoje for his posts, dont
tell it in a demo thread, but tell the mods. That is if you have some
valid reasons!

really bad news, or maybe good news.
This morning tried some PES after that came here to idle waiting for the demo, got bored and went trought all the fifa 2004 gameplay videos.
Fifa 2004 seemed like a pinball game, if they released the demo with that ball speed really everyone would barf on them and bye bye EA, so i bet thats why they delayed.
Instead of fixing the demo installer that takes at most 10 minutes lol they fixing gameplay this hole week.

If not EA can go an lie konami cos buying PES3 seems a better bet than fifa 2004.
I am a programmer myself, and i also know that last coding phase its the longest but the last effort wont overcome if all the past development was wrong lol in other words fifa 2004 is shaking.

I was told in this forums over the last few months that the Demo is from the full game ( Final Code ) a demostartion of the game to see if you want to buy it. Now are we to believe that the demo is separate from the Full game , No its not its a piece of the final game to show off its wares. Now all the officals told us today was the day, when people asked early morning even after being told days ago that the demo was sent to EA UK for testing and release that the reason for the delay was EA Canada was not open yet and we had to wait for them to release the demo. Now EA UK has been testing this demo for days now again are we to believe that on the day of release they then find a problem not with the fianl code but the setup file(s) I take it thats the files you see when your transferring the demo file onto your harddrive? So after days of testing they come into the office and low and behold this morning out of the blue the setup files are ^&*( and we need news ones. I don't buy it ! What did they wait until this morning to test the demo then find the fault , no I don't think so! And as people have said if its a small problem of the front end set up files being the problem and not the game code why the DAYS of delay. D/L the new files from EA Canada to EA UK Mins and replace this takes days??????? naw

1st , i'm too sad like u cuz of the demo, even that we don't know when it will be out.
2nd, the whole situation now is as same as 8th of August. That far date that everyone thought they'll be playing demo.
3rd, the FIFA programmers are supposed to be the best in town, and they tell us a SETUP ERROR!!!! Hell yeah!!!!!!
Finally, not giving an exact day is like a rubber, they can stretch it to whenever they want, without giving a REAL excuse.
And hope like me that we will see the demo sometime this year.
PS: Don't close that moderators, and don't ban me, Nothing harmful here.

well I just saw the news and my question is ... since the errors are located in the setup file .Werent they able to say it yesterday since is the first error you see ??? Well I had a great expectation for this demo. If there any chance to get it during the rest of the day or the weekend ? since this are minors errors they can be fix quite fast.

You guys are damn right but whatever is the reason EA delayed the release because of something, that means they worried about it and maybe this time they really noticed how bad FIFA series are and now in 3 days they trying to improve gameplay as much as they can.
Maybe instead of flaming EA we should help em to improve it, but how we going to help em if we dont even know how Fifa 2004 is really playing right now?
They gotta release something no matter what , if it doesnt works we will fix it for god sake
