Come on guys... didn't we all knew EA's reputation in advance?! It's been like this every year, allthough i think that this years excuse is a bad one... They can e-mail the right setup files right?

Don't forget that the PC version's date has slipped by a week (now 07/11/03), so maybe that's why the demo's a week late. Give the EA programmers a break- Canadians are great people!

hey guyz, i have benn talking to someone from canada whose friend is a test-person for EA's fifa 2004, here's our conversation per ICQ:

number nine: coz i am waiting 4 da demo and i hope that u can tell me more about the release, and why ea sports doesn't release stuff on weekends

what he told me was this
-the game itself has been finished some time ago, but it takes them a couple of weeks for each game to be released b/c their printing apparently takes between 2 and 3 weeks
-their primary focus is on ps2 so they are slow releasing anything for pc b/c they want the ps2 version to be ready first
number nine: ah ko, and whaT's the exact problem with the demo?

-the demo is nothing but a limited version of the full game (no beta code is released by EA for the demo)
-and finally, they do not release anything over the weekends b/c they do not technically work over the weekend - it's as simple as that

Well, I have a 3GHz PC/Radeon 9700 etc.- to play a direct PS2 port-over?? WTF?!
All they want to do is churn out slightly enhanced versions each year- like a production line. The PS2 is based on 'ancient' technology!!!!
Why not use the Xbox, if they have to convert it from a console. Oh that's right- their only goal is to make maximum profit. We sheeple will buy their half-finished products year upon year, eh?!

I think it would be cool if we won't buy their game, so then they will ask theirself: "what did we do wrong?"
