sadly,i agree with you :( i'm very worried about it too (:/)

Mah guys. In Pes3 how many weathers types will be there?????
However the problem is this:
FIFA 2003 has got a very bad gameplay, an online mode which was orrible and the game wasn't deep......
Now.
They are saying every time that they are working on the gameplay and on the online mode.... in fifa 2003 the net code was trash.......
However this year pes3 will come out for PC... so EA is involved n this competition.
BUt do you think really that weather are so important????????
How Many matches do you play in pes2-3 with rain??????
with snow???????????
I think not much.... because football is made to be played in sunny days and in good condition.

For the licences..... i think that EA hasn't done a bad ffia 2003 because she lost time in rosters shirt etc..... they have differnet groups of workers...... the problem is that EA has to use better their licences...... they have to do complete teams... right values... not brighi 97 and Ruslan Pimenov 95........
However the weather in videogames isn't a part of gameplay... because in other games like Madden all people play with sunny condition. And madden is a great game (2004 obvious)
So i hope that fifa 2004 will be a great game, with a great gameplay and a great online mode..... don't remember that fifa is to WCG........ world cyber games so.... fifa 2003 online modes are sux and ****ed... very laggy..... game.

So the first 2 points of the game are:
1. Gameplay
2.Online modes
3.Graphics
4.Estetic fixes
for last weather :).

I agree with you n that

Ok rain is part of soccer, but who loves ot play with rain anyways??

Rain aleways **** up a good soccer day, and it really piss me off when im looking forward to play a game, and then.....the foukin rain fok up all!.

Its very funy how we are complaining about the absence of raining, when in the real life we hate when it rains in soccer days.

i think weather is part of gameplay because u wont see the same weather in different matches, so weather is important, they should at least add weather even though it isnt dynamic....just to make the game have a more real "feel" of the game

For sure!.

But for me, that is not something that will take away the pleasure of a great pass, or an awesome tackle, or a super realistic save.

This is what im aiming.

i remember you that in tournaments like world cyber games or cyberx games.... sport games are played in sunny conditions.. not with snow or rain...

Geez Val, I am begining to think that EA should start hiring you on their staff. For a guy who claims to be neutral, it seems like you defend everything about EA and dissed everything that is KONAMI lately. You seems to get this thing about PES which you talk about on every other boards.
But to answer some of your questions.
---Seriusly, how many times are you going to mention the 8 directions with PES. WE7 does have 16 directions.
---The roster is messed up because KONAMI used last year's roster. You can get the updated roster with the BB unit.
---The reason why they used last year kits for some of the Italians club could be because they already bought the license for them before they change it this year.

You claimed to have played PES on the N64?
about PES.. well.. I played the first one on the n64
Sorry, there is no PES on the N64. PES is WE5 for the European market and it is on the PS2 and PS1 only.

I wonder what do you think about Madden because EA build upon that game for the last how many years. If a game has a good solid gameplay, then you build upon that. Not changed it every year and then take things out which were good in the last version. First, it was the IGM, then the practice mode, then the CC for console and now dynamic weather. What next? The ball?? EA should have build upon FIFA98 and improved upon it. If they did, we would have a game that would have surpass any footie games out there in terms of graphics and gameplay.

KONAMI did add a lot of new features for WE7. Maybe if you have a PS2, you would know what they are instead of venturing on the PES/ISS forums to read guys who played the game to death bitch about the AI cheating. Then you have people who bitch that the game is too hard. I take whatever I read as a grain of salt. Everyone has different opinions. For all of their bitching, I have yet to see what they have to offer as how to improve the AI. Every videogames I have played so far, the AI cheat. Yes, even FIFA and WE. AI is the hardest part of any game to program. To make a computer simulate what we as human beings think is not an easy task. If it was that easy, we would have droids among us. How do you differentiate between levels? Do you increase the CPU's stats or lower the players? In previous FIFA and even WE games, the higher the difficulty level, the better the CPU react. The CPU controlled players would have insane speed and stamina. Even the slowest defender can catch up with your fastest guy. FIFA99 is the best one that I can think of. I got sick of that game after playing in WC mode. It was like playing hyperspeed ping pong with the CPU. Now AI have improved much since then. But it is still far away from what we all want it to be. The best AI programmers are the one who can make the CPU cheating not so obvious. The AI programmer in most cases is usually the highest paid programmer on the team because it is the hardest job.

it gets old that everyone that doesnt like what I say, tells me I work for EA.. so really is damn annoying.. I dont tell you that you work for konami because you defend them blindy... about the kits... the new kits came out way before winning eleven 7 came out, so dont tell me that they didnt have time to make 8 kits.. is not like they have every team licensed.

I didnt start the pes talk.. someone else did and I answer... I do have the ability to have a discussion about Konami games when they are willing to talk about it.. not when blind fanboys just spam about pes and winning eleven...

I am well aware there wasnt a pes game for n64... it was called international superstar soccer I believe.. I dont remember exactly but it was the first game in the series and I played it...

about the programming.. you just said what I did, that is not as easy as it seems.. no I havent played winning eleven 7 because is not for sale in north america yet.. when it is.. let me assure you I will find a way to get a ps2 again and play it like I did with winning eleven 6.

Yes you build on the engine you have.. but eventually you max it out.. which is Maddens problem right now.. the game is the same.. there is nothing new.. you buy the new version you go straight to the hardest level and you win.. I know this because I have experience it on the ncaa 2004 series.. I had last years game.. and I bought this years.. and i took it back in a week because I was winning in the hardest level by blowouts using the same tactics I did before.

about winning eleven 7 and cpu cheating.. winning eleven 6 cheated.. and from what I read it only got worst.. so how come no one bashes konami when they said adapting AI and what it means is that the stats are raised and the cpu starts playing like superstars.. I already read the trick of deleting the option file to fool the computer into thinking you havent been playing too many games in a row.. and I am not bashing Konami.. but is not very honest to point the finger at someone else.. without first looking at yourself.. so when someone brings pes out.. I can bring the flaws of pes out...

Well it's old that you keep on defending EA.

Sports games are different than any other genre. You try to portray that sports the best you can. It's not like you can interesting storylines like the FF series or new places and characters like GTA. For sports games, the main focus is the sport itself. You add new features to entice people into buy the next version. For Madden it is the Owners mode and the playmaker abilities. It takes more than the 6 months period to come out with a new game engine every year. And why would you if the game engine is good. If you take a look at DOOM 3, how many times have they delay it and how many years did it take them to produce.
But for sports games, we kinda expect to have a new version ever year because of the updated rosters and the ever expanding teams list. Companies are going to cash in if there is a demand for it.

As far as KONAMI getting bash on the AI, they are out there. It's not like KONAMI make the perfect footie. No one does. Every game has its flaws. Like I said before, everyone has different opinion on things. A guy who spent his days playing 4 hours of any game will eventually be good at it. He might find that the CPU actually cheats. That's when he knows that he needs to find a human player to play against. Human opponents are more unpredictable than the CPU. That is unless you play the same bloke for a thousand times. Then you will know his tendencies.

so?? I have not defended the fifa game.. which is what the forum is about.. so sorry if I think is too damn cheap of a shot to attack the people that work damn hard at making games to keep us enterntained.. sometimes they do get it right sometimes they dont.. in those cases you criticize the product.. which with fifa 2003 I did..

like I said.. just because you keep defending konami's shortcomings.. I dont say you work for konami... so leave personal comments to the side..

I think that this is the most logical answer. Is bad, but it can be complimented with other very good features.
