can u give an example of how they make their own words for western words, as compared to South Korean:confused:, like in Hangul, roman characters (4pronounciation) and the English word?

Also, Why was Korea Divided, when it was Japan who fought the WWII against the Allies?

Edit: Scorpions, can u re-post th 5 Juche ideas?

North Koreans make their own words for everything. They have their own soccer terms, whereas in South, foreign words have become part of the language.

Korea was divided because after WWII rule by the Japanese, the Soviets and the Americans were disputing the land they had authority in (such as Poland, which became under the influence of the Soviets) and Korea was one of them. They managed to divide it in half on the 38th parallel.

The Juche theory now.. The term Juche means united. I have no idea why the hell anyone would want this. It is just a logic/principle. It is just a state of being there, and using that in an attempt of mass propaganda. Basically, it's a trash that won't help anyone in the North. Yeah sure the famine is over. But all the available food are either expansive, or they go to the military. As I said before, the military confiscated the rice bags for their military goods, and it seems that they really love the American wrap that has been used to pack those rice; good use I hear.

One of the funny thing is that there are people like Scorpion who support this logic. They work as spies in the South, but they basically had NO CONTACT with the North whatsoever; in a layman's term, they were just utopians.

Have you heard of Professor Hwang? He was up there with Kim Young Nam and all those big time leaders. He ran to South a while ago; check some things about him. You'll be surprised, and tell me what you think and stop dodging my explaining of the people that escape the North,

Scorpion, I appreciate your effort of supporting North Korea. But it's more than just those theories and actions in history; it is much more than that.

The video. :|:|:|

Dude, it's called propaganda. They drop leaflets using ballons every day trying to teach us of those communistic ideals. Just explain me this; why do you see people as young as 13 jump across the border to China and do literally anything to get some food and perhaps escape the prosecution?

Your whole logic is that the videos I've seen and such are the instrument of brainwashing, and yet you believe every words stated in those propaganda films.

And dude, don't give me those crap about the Chollima Movement. As I stated before and still am, answer me WHY PEOPLE LEAVE THEIR FAMILY AND HOME BEHIND TO RISK THEIR LIVES AND GO OVER THE BORDER.

And I really hope you check the program guide on my link I posted. Translators would translate most of it I'm sure. And again, please be my guest to go over to North Korea and praise your "dear leader". The same leader who confiscated the UN food to be used by the military. But I must admit, you have not been near Korea AT ALL, and I should excuse for your false logic of the so called "perfection" that North Korea is going through.

funny, you forgot that Juche means Self Reliance and the DPRK and USSR didn't get along after 1953.

Also a key flaw is that people can leave the DPRK at any time through Pyongyang airport or by train.

Also, available food is not expensive because prices are set by the state. You apparently bought into way too much propaganda.

The lawyers report is a fair and unbiased look from US and Canadian lawyers who went there. This report is confirmed by all who have visited the DPRK and talked with the people. ;)

Here it is again :)

A nation needs to keep it's society independant, consciouss and creative in order to remain Socialist. The nation must be Self-Reliant in politics, military and economy. Man is the master, creator and source of the revolution.

Nape, The common people certainly cannot. North Korea still has in place the restrictions of travel for the people - only government officials or people that have received authority and permission from the government to leave the country can leave. I have never heard anything about these restrictions being removed.

If it was that simple to leave, why do we see the aforementioned escapees trying to illegally leave the country when, according to you, anyone can stroll out to China whenever they want. 90% of the population outside of Pyongyang would have left by now.

About the Korean people wanting reunification: they have the wrong ideas in their heads - they simply ignore the economic and political difficulties and just go along with their emotions (that is a serious flaw of our people, they're too irrational). Take Germany for an example - more than half of the people of West Germany were opposed to re-unification because of the difficulties it would bring economically, politically, etc. At that time West Germany's GDP per capita was about three times more than the East's. Even now after reunification Germany is experiencing slight economic difficulties. Now think what would happen if you got the North to reunite with a GDP per capita that is about nine, ten times worse than the South. The Korean economy would go to hell.

I don't know much about this socialism communism crap, but I know one thing - North Korea certainly isn't a utopia as you claim.

**** the pretend election. I am glad Bush won, I am extremely content in fact. The American must have some sort of death wish, it seems that they like to dig their own grave, this is humerous. Bin Laden goes on TV and blatantly says "I'm going to **** with any state that votes for Bush"... so guess what the only 3 people in Alabama: cletus, bubba and billy bob all vote for Bush. ROFLMAO. Perhaps after Bin Laden's next attack he will be eligible for the Nobel prize due to the fact that every non-american (including our 'friends' in europe and Asia) are calling for yank blood. I wish Bush could run for a third term AHAHAHA.
Your spelling is pretty "humerous" as well.

The funny bone's connected to the...

I wouldn't have voted for Bush but I sure as hell am not sorry about anything. It's not like we're going to nuke the world now. Why the hell do we have to apologize to France or Germany or Argentina, etc.? How does the outcome of the election affect them?

The only ones who deserve an apology are the Iraqi civilians who have been mistreated or lost family member(s) during operation Iraqi Freedom.

For those of you liberals out there who make fun of people in the "red" states for being stupid or not intellectual, just take a look at some of those dumb ****ers.

"We sooooo tried" (Like, Oh my God, I live in California and Watch MTV)

"On Behalf of all decent Americans, I'm so F'N sorry" (I forgot that only "decent" Americans use bad words)

Signed "Two Lesbians for Peace" (enough said)

Anyway, what a sorry group of losers. That's all they are... election day LOSERS who think the world gives a **** what they think. And Run DMB is right, the US doesn't need to apologize to Argentina, France or Germany.

keep thinking like that...

the result of this election affects the whole world negatively, therefore you should apologize to the whole world, not any country in particular.

Run DMB get your facts straight man US policy and economy affects the world very deeply. We wouldn't give a sh*t about who you elect or not, if it were any different.

But why should I or RunDMB or Elder apologize?

Screw you. We didnt do anything wrong.

If Kerry won, things would still be the same.

How does it affect the whole world negatively? Maybe it affects countries like North Korea and Iran in that way, but Germany, France and Argentina? I don't think so.

US trading policy isn't going to change because Bush is in office. Money goes beyond petty politics, and as long as there is money to be made between of the countries who "hate" the US, and the US, things won't be too negative.

Yes, cause Germans are going to starve to death because Bush won the election.

You have to understand that :

1. The president of the US has very little control over the US economy. The most powerful man in the world isn't George W. Bush, it's Alan Greenspan.

2. Foreign policy? So what, we're going to bomb Western European countries now?

I'd like to see someone give an example of how four years of Bush have severely impacted everyday life in Germany or Brazil. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

well the price gas is going sky high over here, we had to raise taxes because of it. Public workers and most workers in general haven't gotten a raise in 3 years. Oil makes the world turn, there's no way around it. Considering the price of a barrel was 20 dollars just a few years ago and now it's 50.... that says it all right there.

We're still coming out of recession and another war or the slightest political instability in the middle east can just dip us into another big crisis.

The fact is that little things that you'd never guess like the rise of the US public debt affect the global market as well.

No wonder Bush won, you don't have a clue about what's going on in the rest of the world.

The fact is that we europe are still too damn chicken to try to be less dependent of the US especially economically... the political leaders in europe just don't give a sh*t about that... and therefore we still have to go with the flow.
