His tactics seem to work but his player selection is worse than previous managers, and that's saying something. Snubbing the Euros is fucking stupid. Mexico is not very deep in the talent pool to be doing that. He's too unstable and stubborn. Plus he's not that experienced.

I'll have my eye on Pulido, Pizarro, E. Perez, Ponce, Brizuela but more than anything I want to see how my boy Reyes is progressing.

Which one of these youngsters has a chance for a WC roster spot? That is the question they have to answer as there is no time left to speculate.

All the Euros called up for the game against Nigeria except for Charles Candle who is one strange case. Apparently he only fallows the NBA and doesn't care much for his own sport AT ALL.

Dude is one strange case indeed. I doubt he'll ever play the NT again...totally sucks 'cause he's the best in-form Mexican player but whateves. It's his choice not to represent his country in the WC and that's fine with me, but it's still an absolute mystery what led him to take that decision.

Brizuela's performance made a strong argument for making the WC squad...he was the man of the match against South Korea IMO. Brizuela or Pulido (who had a hat trick in that same friendly) will most likely compete for Vela's abandoned spot in the final WC roster.

Does Chicharito always play as lone CF for Mexico? For us, he sucks when played alone. He has had a bad season so far but most of it has to do with M*yes' poor tactics. Hernandez won't score from crosses with his small stature. Wouldn't be surprised if he scores a double for Mexico.
