Official thread of Liga Argentina: Clausura [2005-2006].

Senior Squad
Olave is the new player of River, he played in Belgrano and Gimnasia in Argentina and in Murcia in Spain.

The hidden name that Passarella had in his sleeve was...chan chan chan...Ariel Arnaldo Ortega. Passarella said that is very close to arrive for the Libertadores and the Clausura.. :rockman: :rockman: :rockman: :rockman: :rockman:

Other name is Palleta, the Banfield defender and U-20 World Champion in 2005. :rockman:

Caceres, Pusineri, Ferrari, Olave, Figueroa, Toja...so far, so good... if we add to these players the names of Ortega and Palleta we have a very good squad.

El Diablo Rojo

Starting XI
The Ortega to River business fails yet once again.:p

Apparently Independiente would sign Bedoya(NO!:() and Ricardo Rojas(ah now that's better).

In San Lorenzo at last, Ariel Pereyra would stay and Walter Garcia would be sold to some team of Switzerland.

For what i've heard from now on there will be 7 substitutes and no 5 like there used to be(of course only 3 substitutions can be made).

Estudiantes wins 3-0 over Instituto, the second half starting now. Remember that in some hours Vélez will play against San Lorenzo should be a good match.

EDIT: Heh make it 4-0 now.

Hot news...!!!

River will try to sign D'Alessandro... :rockman:

Please no one say anything about Dream Team or something like that... :jambo:

Ortega isnt coming...poor Ariel, he must be feeling like hell...

Palletta is very close...

Estudiantes is going to make some noise this year...

El Diablo Rojo

Starting XI
Estudiantes seem to be very noisy lately, i mean in 2004/2005 they were close to the championship twice in the 2005/2006 they made kind of a decent campaign, considering that Merlo just left after it started and they lost Krupoviesa. Maybe Estudiantes will be near the top this year too. However also got to consider that they are playing against Instituto who has been very poor this season.

Paletta isn't coming to River.... :nape:

He never wanted to play for River, he seems like a Boca fan to me from all the interviews I've read. He didn't even seem happy about the transfer.

Anyway, Macri got involved and said he'd buy him in June, and there was also pressure from Banfield to stay until June. Palacio and Bilos also called him and told him not to go. Que este hdp juega en boca...

We should try and sign Civelli, but I doubt that will happen. He is much cheaper and will die to play for River, his favourite team. I don't want players who don't care about the jersey...

And hopefully we can sign D'Alessandro. Then we'll be able to put up a good fight for two trophies...

El Diablo Rojo

Starting XI
Civelli will go to San Lorenzo, and Paletta will go to either Liverpool or Villarreal in June.

I just saw a very good match where Banfield won 3-0 over Racing Club.:boohoo: Good victory for the drill.

Independiente, Estudiantes, Vélez, River and Banfield i believe either one of these will be the champion.

RIVERRRRRR!

Another goleada.

Rolfi is slowly becoming a River idol.(Y) Great football from everyone again. I'm slowly starting to forgive Patiño as he's been playing the way he should've played from Day 1. He better keep this up.

D'Alessandro is reported to be very close to a return. Wolfsburg and River Plate have supposedly reached an agreement, all that remains is for his pregnant wife to receive medical clearance to fly and Andres will be on a plane to Buenos Aires. I don't want to get too excited, but this transfer would be amazing.

Quiroga and Civelli are still being talked about. Civelli's move to San Lorenzo may be off again if River decides to buy him. Both defenders would only be eligible to play the Copa Libertadores.

River will play the coming week because the thursday they have to play the second leg with Oriente Petrolero.

******* Pezzota must learn how to refeering, another match he ruins to us, yes Independiente didn't play very well but still, he must get along with what he calls.

As expected Racing Club played horribly, and lost with Banfield who played good, and shown an attacking play unlike the apertura where they seemed to be a bit more conservative.

Renato Civelli won't go to San Lorenzo, he's being linked with O. Marseille, and D'Alessandro won't go to River he'll go to Portsmouth.

Senior Squad
Vélez Sarsfield vs. San Lorenzo 1-1
25' SH Rolando Zárate 1-0
31' SH Sebastián Saja(PK) 1-1

Hard game, Montero almost cut off Castroman leg..!!! Very boring game. Cardozo looks closer to retirement than to the World Cup. Castroman played a good game.

2' FH José Luis Calderon 1-0
14' FH Agustín Alayes 2-0
41' FH Rodrigo Braña 3-0
3' SH Marcelo Carrusca 4-0

I only saw the goals here, Calderon and Braña goals were great, both from outside the box, impossible to the keeper. Instituto will go down...

Olimpo B.B. vs. Rosario Central 0-0

50ºC on the pitch, they are crazy...how can they play..?

Arsenal FC vs. Argentinos Juniors 1-1

Arsenal shoot 9 times Argentinos 1...Saint Pontiroli..hehehe.

Colón Sta. Fe vs. Gimnasia LP 1-0

Colon was way better and deserved to win with more difference...Bichigoal, 101 goals in argentine tournaments...

Newell's Old Boys vs. Quilmes AC 2-0
9' SH Ignacio Scocco 1-0
20' SH Ignacio Scocco 2-0

Ortega played like the good old days, he was unstoppable.

Banfield vs. Racing Club 3-0 :boohoo:
17' FH Jesús Dátolo 1-0
9' SH Jesús Dátolo 1-0
26' SH Jesús Dátolo 1-0

Great game by the Gatoneta..!!! Racing...well pathetic...

Gimnasia J. vs. Boca Juniors 2-1 :boohoo:
2' SH Martín Palermo 0-1
12' SH Israel Damonte 1-1
19' SH Héctor Silva 2-1

Boca without Gago and Battaglia isnt the same, and Abbondanzieri was awfull, he stoped 2 good balls after the game was 2-1...

Independiente vs. Lanús 0-0 (:/)

Falcioni has to do something, Aguero is always surrounded by 2 or 3 players, he cant do sh*t all by himself...Come on, they are my candidates..!!!

2' FH Daniel Montenegro 0-1
13' FH Jairo Patiño 0-2
19' FH Jonathan Santana 0-3
40' FH Daniel Montenegro 0-4

Another trainning session, lets hope this continue...Can't we play against Boca next sunday...?!

El Diablo Rojo

Starting XI
Next sunday River will play against Newell's, and those always end up being interesting since Ortega plays in Newell's, and it seems it'll be like that for a while.

I believe Leeb finally found the team, that's why Banfield is more agressive, i guess Banfield will impossible to defeat at home(remember Banfield finished the Apertura unbeaten although they got many draws), in top of that Banfield joins the group of Vélez as in the teams with the best youth projects. That's why these both hardly get any new player lately. Also the second goal of Dátolo and the goal of Leiva were really amazing. But eh it was kind of predictable Racing to lose with Banfield by such difference, and yes that Barroso sure has bad luck.

About Independiente, i'm not worried, the wednesday we'll play against Instituto, which i believe there are few chances of us not winning against the paper defense of Instituto. Agüero being kind of alone was something kind to be known, although they brought Machín, Falcioni was been disconformed about not getting any CAM, because if they would have got Pisculichi, Falcioni said he would be using 3-4-1-2 not even a 4-3-1-2 and no way the 4-4-2, maybe he'll try with Armenteros and/or Biglia as CAM's, unfortunately someone who could take that place is Losada but he has been gone on loas to U. de Chile.

About Vélez-San Lorenzo, kind of it was a really tight match, heh Montero should have been red carded after that dive over Castroman, he left a nice mark.:nape:

Estudiantes de Ensenada?

Well the government of the province of Buenos Aires offered Estudiantes LP and Gimnasia LP to administrate the stadium "Ciudad de La Plata", Estudiantes rejected the offer, Gimnasia accepted, that means that now Gimnasia LP has 2 stadiums, their old one("El bosque", actually suspended for some weeks for the incidents in the last match of the apertura) and Ciudad de La Plata, and now they say from now on they'll use Ciudad de La Plata for their home matches, this stadum actually is used for big concerts and other kind of events(However it's a football stadium it's big so it can be used for that kind of stuff too= and as for football it was only being used by La Plata FC(a third division club) and for a while it was used also by Tristan Suarez(another third division club), now Estudiantes being unable to use their own stadium(it's closured for not having certain stuff set) with their petitions of for a rebulit being rejected, why didn't they accept to manage that magnificient stadium instead of using the stadium of Quilmes AC and having to move all their supporters 200km away(which caused anger on many), in top of that, where does plan Estudiantes to play the Libertadores? Well the matter is, for a while Gimnasia has been looking for some free terrain in La Plata to build a completely new stadium, but now they won't be doing that, Estudiantes was doing the same, but apparently the only terrains they could get were in Ensenada a city close to La Plata, so Estudiantes de La Plata's stadium would no longer be in La Plata? I don't think that Gimnasia will give their old stadium to Estudiantes, considering that Estudiantes stadium was bigger than Gimnasia's old stadium, indeed it's a big mess that i don't know when or how will be solved.

Kind off an odd thing, but the match that was going to be played tomorrow between Gimnasia LP and Arsenal FC at the stadium "Ciudad de La Plata", will be suspended because it seems that Gimnasia couldn't get ready the secutiry audio system, which was the main complain of why the first division clubs were refusing to use this stadium.

Ive heard that Gimnasia didnt pay to the police for the security....

I think Gimnasia should be sanctioned. You cant ''suspend'' a match...!!!

Anyway is a shame that ''Ciudad de La Plata'' Stadium isnt use for first division matches...its a great stadium...

San Lorenzo Lost against Estudiantes :lui:
And Racing tie against Colon :lui:

Seems like the big clubs cant win yet... :kader:

El Diablo Rojo

Starting XI
Well Independiente won 5-0 over the VERY POOR Instituto.(6)
I guess nothing will save them from relegation this season.

Colón got robbed badly like that penalty on the 4th minute of injury time, from that dive of Simeone, but well that's Racing.:nape:

So for now Estudiantes is the only leader, if Newell's Old Boys wins tomorrow over Tiro Federal they can join the lead.

Well about Gimnasia LP's match, yes it was because they didn't pay the police, now they say there was trouble in the club house of Gimnasia LP the monday at night, because apparently many of the supporters don't want to play in that stadium so it happened what happened. Although they match will be played, more likely next wednesday, and it after all it still will be played in the stadium Ciudad de La Plata, meanwhile Estudiantes will still play home matches at the stadium of Quilmes AC.

El Diablo Rojo

16- Olimpo B.B. 1 -1(1-2)
17- Rosario Central 1 -1(1-2)
18- Racing Club 1 -3
19- Gimnasia LP* 0 -1
20- Instituto Cba. 0 -8

The coming matchday that starts tonight, matchday 3.

Friday 3/2
Vélez Sarsfield vs. Gimnasia LP
Estudiantes LP vs. Argentinos Juniors

Saturday 4/2
Colón Sta. Fe vs. Quilmes AC
Arsenal FC vs. Racing Club

Sunday 5/2
Banfield vs. Tiro Federal
Gimnasia J. vs. Rosario Central
Independiente vs. San Lorenzo
Olimpo B.B. vs. Instituto Cba.
Newell's Old Boys vs. River Plate
Boca Juniors vs. Lanús

Well apparently there are still troubles with Gimnasia LP, many supporters marches yesterday against the idea of playing in the stadium Ciudad de La Plata and they call for an immediate assembly to resolve the matter.

Boca still has some injured players, Battaglia will return, Gago more likely is not ready yet, also it seems that Abbondanzieri got a small injury. In Racing Bastia will be not playing for 4 weeks, so Bastia and Torres will more likely miss the classic.

Banfield finally lost a match after a long while, however they haven't beaten at home for more than 1 year ago.

The monday José Rojas from U. de Chile signed with Independiente, they still try to get Pisculichi on loan, since Comparada seems to be close to Mallorca's president.
About the match of Independiente, well Independiente played good against, probably the worst team of the first division, evidently Insituto needs some changes or else they will be in the second division in the next season. Finally Lorgio Alvarez scored, he was deserving it, Armenteros was the man of the mach, also it was a good match of Biglia and Agüero as usual. Hopefully Independiente will keep like this, told ya that Armenteros could be turn into a CAM. Now to see what will happen the next match, hopefully Independiente will play as good as the wednesday.:rockman:

He was great last year...

Compared to Messi he is slower, but have more goal and his dribbles are more ''showy''...

He is right footed, and he play as a Striker in Independiente...

He has a lot to learn yet...

Here in Argentina they (the press) compare him with Romario...

Pobre Millo....

Way too many injuries for one game. :nape:
Ortega scoring against River... :nape:

We really missed Santana today and he'll be out for another month. Carizzo's red card really hurt us but it was a deserved card, so no complaints/excuses.

Just when I was beginning to think Patiño was turning it around he was a disaster again. Hopefully when Gallardo is eligible to return Patiño will return to the bench.

Farias, Farias, Farias.... Even when he's offside he misses goals! This is getting out of hand, this is River, not Estudiantes LP, you have to bury your chances. With that said, he did improve in the second half even though we were down to 10 men. Lucho will soon take his place in the starting 11.

Rolfi.(Y) Well on his way to becoming a legend. He's been unstoppable of late.

Caceres.(Y) Excellent on defence. Saved us on many occasions. Now if only we can replace Gerlo, the defense would be excellent.

Independiente is now leader of the tournament with 3 games played. River will play their 3rd match this coming Wednesday versus Gimnasia of Jujuy.

Ortega es de River y en River tiene que jugar...!!!

Ok, now talking about the game...

If during one tournament you can have, lets say...3 matches lost becouse of the bad luck, i say we are done with that...We had all the bad luck you can have in one tournament all in one MATCH...sooo...if we lose another games, its not becouse of the bad luck...

I think its the time for Pusineri in the starting eleven...he is more similar to Santana than Patiño...

No problem, we lost one game...i still have faith in this team...

Gimnasia LP vs. Estudiantes LP
Lanús vs. Rosario Central
Quilmes AC vs. Arsenal FC
River Plate vs. Banfield
Instituto Cba. vs. Boca Juniors

In San Lorenzo, Alfaro fired, it seems his replacement will be Ruggeri, once again. At Racing Club, Quiroz out too, there would be a temporal coach, then after the match against Independiente(in 2 weeks), Simeone would delcare his retirement and be the new coach of Racing Club.:o

:funny:

About Independiente's match, well evidently another good match, but unfortunately the luck wasn't with the team, Independiente should have scored at least 2 more goals. And again good match of Biglia, Machín and Armenteros.

For the one who asked for Agüero here some videos.

http://juanlu.interfree.it/Aguero.wmv <--- Mix of some of his goals.

http://www.infiernorojo.com/imagenes/vsracing40/infiernoaguero.wmv <--- And probably, this one will never be forgotten, his best goal so far, also declared the best goal of the apertura, against Racing the day of the 4-0.(6)
