Very irealistic. Players lake Ronaldo, Ronaldinho etc do dribbles everytime doesn´t matter if the team is wining or loosing.

Is there any way to "activate" the special moves to be possible to do tricks when we want?

One edition i'd like to make, is I played at max resolution with 8x AA supersampling and 16 Aniscopic Filtering everything maxed out! And boy did it look clear!

I may buy it, but it depends if i get bored from the demo or not, 2 weeks or so, which will be a good indicator!

Im sure you can choose which dribbling style you wish to use the new one or the fifa 06 right analogue have a look on you tube at fifa 07 ps2 demo jus b4 u kick off it asks what style of dribble technique you wish to use classic or the new 07 style

I just played with the demo enhancer for about 30 mins specifically to see if the old scripted play in the last third of the field kicked in but the game remained very open and at last I feel in a FIFA game that I have control over who does what. Actually, playing PES5 feels more scripted with the auto-clearances by the defenders than FIFA does now.

Regarding the long shots, on the higher difficulty levels they definitely don't seem too easy to score to the point where you're better off trying to tactically build up something more realistic than just shoot from distance and hope.

Love the ability to slow the game down and hold the ball up while the players make their runs.

Not sure why a lot of people (outside of the ATI card issues) are having problems running the demo smoothly. I'm running it on my laptop and I just have a standard on-board video card with not a huge amount of power and it runs very smoothly at a decent resolution.

Couldn't get my 360 controller to work though. Thankfully I still have my old PS2 controller with the adapter which worked great.

Really guys. We should applaud for EA. They delivered a game that really closed the gap. 06 was very good, but not huge. This is HUGE! This game is really fantastic. In a few mins I noticed things that I even didnt see in PES! The passing is great, crossing is difficult but very satisfying and last but not least the shooting is the best i v seen in a football game till now. Yes, even better then PES!! When I played with Barca ( I hate this team) I noticed that Ronaldinho and Messi really play like they do in real life. Messi is superfast and can dribble fantasticly, not to mention Ronaldinho. It all feels great! The ball physics are unbelieveble! I noticed that the ball is totally free, its fantastic!!

Really thank you EA. The Ubisoft guy did his job!!! Now we have 2 fantastic soccer games. PES and Fifa. Atm, I like this Fifa more then any other game. Its totally NOT scripted and feels great like Wolf said. Cant wait for the full! And then the 360 version!!

Btw, did you guys notice when you sprint and you tap the ball very far that it doesnt go in the same direction all the time. Now if you hit it with the right foot it goes to the left and vice versa. It feels GREAT!!!

I thought EA was going to just add new animations and call it a whole new game. I was way wrong. This is game is amazing. At times I had to remind myself that I was playing FIFA not WE/PES. I think EA now are the top dawgs in the soccer/futbol games now. Good work EA, I always knew you had it in ya!!!! GREAT WORK!!!!

Although not perfect, it's pretty close.

Very nice gameplay, realistic passes and crosses, good shooting system.

Same as FIFA WC06...dark turfs, dark kits.

Menu and Interface 8/10

Not changed very much, but looks good.

Audio(Commentary & Music) 8.5/10

Music...I don't know, waiting to hear the songs i the full game
Commentary is better than at 06, I heard the commentator saying Lionel instead of Messi...

P.D. : I like the keeper moves...very realistic.

Are you sure it's not super realistic instead....

Just downloaded the demo, going home and in about 1 hour I'll be able to play it hopefully.

it all sounds very promising indeed.

just downloaded the demo and gave it abit of a rag, and the first impression
is good. it sounds like there's gonna be some really good features in the full
version, and the gameplay in this demo is quite impressive.

ok, mini-review:

GRAPHICS - 9
'wow' was what i said when it first loaded up, the faces on the players
aswell as the surroundings look so real now they make anything i've seen
on pro-evo look cartoony

SOUND - 9
the crowd sound ruckus, if not a little too loud at times, but you
can change that i suppose. commentators sound a little less retarded
than last year, but andy gray still sounds like he's tripping and not actually
watching the game

GAMEPLAY - 7
i enjoyed it. at times it feels a little more pro evo, and at other times it takes
on it's own feel. long passes, particularly crosses, still seem like not enough
work has gone into them however

PROS
- big improvement on level of realism and ball physics
- great graphics and sound
- the game modes in the full version sound awesome
CONS
- players seem a little sluggish at times
- ball seems a little heavy for my personal liking


so, the verdict?


if my expectations (and im usually pretty pesimistic) of the full version are
met, then this is gonna be an awesome game. when it comes out later this
month, it's gonna be damn hard to wait for pro evo 6 that's all i can say...

Yep, I had Ronaldinho miss an absolute sitter against me on World Class after being set through by Messi. Also the goalkeepers can still make huge mistakes on the harder levels. They definitely weren't supermen, they save a lot more shots if you don't pick your spot and are more agressive in 1v1 but on the whole they seemed realistic.

my first pc demo impesion
this version its defenitly improvments and the best fifa ever, thanks to the new ball movments, it plays freely and smoth with some good animations, not to sure about the dribbling yet.
the gameplay feels more like pes ish now, which is a good thing.
the crowd sond and the comentary are spot on.

the down side of the game from what i seen so far is
-the slide tackel could have been better, but still improved
-and some shooting animations they are not good compared to pes shoting animations, when they have a shoot in fifa2007 it seams the player don't steach the leg properly, u know what am on about,
something like zidans rocket shots, or first time volleys, which in we-pes where greatly done.
i am talking about the animation only, as the shooting on gool in general is realistic as u have to find space, + the right timing with the prefered foot of the player, to score which is a good improvment.
-lobbing long balls could have been better, agen they are much improved compered to the older versions.

overall the game is very good this year
and i am deffinitly looking forward for the xbox360 version,
to have both games fifa2007 & pes6

I tried demo and have mixed feelings about it. Its getting better every year, but for me Pes5 is still much better. Simply fifa dont have smt.But for arcade is fifa very good.

Much better than 06. Witrh Ronaldinho, I love how I can get the ball, juke a man (using the much better juke system, you actually have to put some effort in to it), find the space, and let loose a shot.

Anyone know which buttons are which for the finesse, power, and (forgot the other one) shots?

Better but not a Pes4 or 5 beater for me. The demo and its poor resolution and options speaks volumes about EA. Again the mod experts have to come to the rescue even for the demo.


The shooting is too fast and the player movement via the controller is average and not as responsive as it should be.


I genuinely wanted fifa07 to beat pes5 but it doesn't for me, perhaps the xbox 360 version will do it.

Just my opinion. Oh well maybe next year.
