Yo young hobbit. Don't be such a smarty. Gameplay alone doesn't make a perfect football game. Since you so into PES's "gameplay" and nothing more, why don't you stick to this demo then? I dare you not to buy the full version. You don't need extra teams and features, right?

Errr yes I'm into Pes's gameplay, I like how the game plays - don't see how you can get from that to me not needing the full game...Of course master league/cups/kits adds to gameplay....
This is pointless....there is no set defintion of gameplay, it's completely relative.
Point was if you think this game is "****ing pathetic" due to slow cut scenes then this might not be your game....was j/k anyway.

Well, Konami should realize once for all that they CANNOT ask for such high system specs.
FIFA being the Graphics Master itself doesn't need all those high-expensive-system requirements.

Don't miss understand me, I like PES 3 even if it runs slow on my PC, and I like the graphics too, but Konami can't think that everyone lives for their games, or that everyone is rich enough to buy a new video card just to satisfy their MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS.
I just hope that, as V-9 said in some other post, this is just a bug of the leaked demo version... it might be true that being a leaked version it could contain bugs being fixed by konami and that this was just a beta of the demo, and it might be fixed for the official demo and/or full game, but I found it hard to belive.

See ya!

hold'on hold'on holla young hobbit. I didn't say "the game"was "****ing pathetic". I said it's "****ing pathetic" how the game runs in slow-mo during cut-scenes.

In my book "gameplay" is what's happening on the field.

Since you all about ^that^, what you need more teams & cups for? You can use one or two teams and still get a lot (everything) out of this game... .

Ok, I'm j/k. Playing witcha man. :) Just stop posting so much about the gameplay........... :kader:

I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you. The PS2 is no slouch when it comes to shifting gfx around and has a vastly greater memory bandwidth than the mx line of cards...

Also, KCET have said themselves it's just a straight port of the PS2 version(hence the need for at least gf3 level processor with a fair amount of VRAM)....my guess is they have been given very few resources to port the game as the money people have no idea how well the PC version will sell and using a decent gfx card to emulate the PS2 gfx engine was the quickest way to get the game out the door.
Just my guess though.

so what's the actual speed of gameplay?
when I play in 640x480, speed is actually quite fast.
in 800x600, speed is slower, but still decent..
1024x768 is mostly slow mo...
so its between 800x600 vs 640x480 for me, thing is i dunno which is a better reflection of the actual speed of gameplay in PS2

i'd agree with Glory there. Thats not to say it was a good move by Konami however. They have shut out a large portion of their fan base by making this game unplayable on most peoples PC. It also stifles their attraction for new fans that dont own consoles, like me for example and i am one of very many im willing to bet.
Its disapointing but...i was gunning for an upgrade anyway:mrpimp:
Not everyone is tho...:kader:

As long as I let the game control the refresh rate it runs at the exact same speed(perfect) at 640x480, 800x600 or 1024x768(any higher it starts slowin down).
So if for you 800x600 is slower than 640x480 then I think 640x480 is closest to the right speed.

****ing stupid move more like. Thing is, if the PC version doesn't sell well, whoever made the decision to not put much effort into the port will say "See, didn't sell well, we won't bother next year"- if this happens I'll be pissed :f***:
That's if the version we're playing is the final code, definitely not the final gfx (boots, ballsnot being updated) so might not be final code.

I seriously think that maybe there is some problem with the game where it doesn't seem to work on certain system configuration.

Have you guys tried to update all sort of driver? DirectX ? Soundcard etc ?

It's kinda strange because I tried it on my friend's pc where he only own a GF2 TI card, and the game still ran quite smooth in lower resolution.

I've had the slow down / speed up problem but now changed my monitor refresh to "adapter default".
This seems to have made the game run a a constant speed.
Is there anything else I can do to ensure it runs at the 'correct' speed ?

Apart from make sure your system meets, or preferably above, the required specs, not really.
Downloading a movie of PES3 to compare would be the best way to check, but alot of the time the compression methods used either speed up or slow down the framerate.

Tomorrow I'll ask for some video card prices, I want to buy a new card just because of this game... if I had to spend all of my savings just to buy a new card to run this game perfectly I'd do it, because it's worth it....

See ya!

yea you could buy one, but it wont solve your problem with this demo

I have a radeon 9700, and as i said before i cant play on 1024x768
But the weird thing is i could play on this res before. All of a sudden it went slo mo, while I didnt change any setting on my system. So it aint the system requirements that cause the slo mo, its something else, but what??

You have to change your display settigns in your control pannel to the same settings as the display in the game.
I was playing with 1280 x 1024 in game but display was only 1024.

Hi ppl,
I just got the PES3 Demo..The game runs perfectly on Default Resolution, but when I go up to max settings the game slows down real bad at sometimes specially when the ball is in the centre of the field or at the 6yard Box..other than that it runs perfect on the default settings..by the way my PC specs are P4 2.2Ghz with 2GB RDRAM and Nvidia GeForce 3 Ti500 64MB..so I think I've got more than enough of ram..anyways the demo is excellent,gr8 gameplay and Ok graphics even in low res..good job Konami :)

That's because it's the demo.

The correct boots and ball's aren't even in it.
