I think it's actually a good thing - without a fancy new graphics engine to worry about, it gives them time to focus on what really matters; the gameplay. I bet the FIFA guys are scratching their heads at the moment, trying to work out how they can make the texture better on the coke can that some bloke in the crowd is holding.

The french article seems to suggest online play is a feature. Hopefully it won't take them several versions of the game to get it right - it's a tricky thing to get working though, so fingers crossed...

I was reading the shortlist earlier and I thought "Scorpion kick" :| WTF?, why the hell would Konami bother with such a "once in a life time" thing. There could be more important things that could be included. Also the shortlist said "Saha in the french team", something so individual & tivial wouldn't be a big headline.

If you look at the combination free kick, the creator has just cut out a picture of someone standing on the ball out of a replay from in the match and stuck it on top of the ball. The lightness of his clothes are wrong

have you noticed shadows on this pic? someone from evo-web cut this from the second "exlusive screenshot" ;)



players have shadows to the right, goal posts to the left and these orange gates have neither :D
and I don't tell anything about stupidity of 100 meters run competition (and without the ball) :rolleyes: it's a game? tap "X" rapidly 'till you reach the opposite side? loads of features like this, maybe waterball ? (swimming pool cost in PES Shop - 20.000 PES points)
