Spurs4Life how can one guy be so ignorant yet so confident that he is right all the time?

The fact is this sport is a non-contact sport.

for the guys who say there wasn't a foul:

look at terry's elbow on ricardo face. if that's not a foul i don't know what is then.

Ricardo could never get that ball anyway. He's gone underneath Terry... You're implying that if you go for the ball and the keeper goes under you and touches you it's his free kick.

FIFA Law 12

------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------

"Paragraph 4) If a player leans on the shoulders of another player of his own team in order to head the ball, the referee shall stop the game, caution the player for ungentlemanly conduct and award an IFK to the opposing side."

And from http://www.kenaston.org/LAWS/LAW-FK_DBR_DIF.htm

"22. Using a colleague's back to gain height when heading the ball. (Law 12 Cautionable Offence Unsporting behavior.)"

Didn´t knew this
Well if that's the case then it puts the argument about whether Terry interefered with Ricardo to one side because Sol Campbell absolutely, positively, 100% used Terry as leverage and thus broke the rules. I think this is that point that is being made with this rule Spurs4Life. You can't deny that Sol Campbell was leaning on John Terry's shoulders to head that ball.

so what this basically says is that there was TWO fouls on the play, the foul on Ricardo and Campbell using Terry to jump. Vinniw you just shut up everyone.

Campbells never gone to jump on Terry, he didn't know he was there. Terry jumped at the same time Campbell did, but Campbells arms came down on him.

The referee has given a PUSH. He showed the England players by moving his hands towards and away from his chest. WHERE IS THE PUSH?

Let's not forget that Portugal also had a good goal disallowed when Ashley Cole cleared a shot from behind the goal-line. I've watched the replay and the ball is clearly over the line - yet no goal given.

This is where video technology should be used, not subjective decisions like when is a push a foul and when is it not a foul.

Dont worry. He's probably a basketball person, where you touch someone and they cry about it.

ACMilan is right, because there is never any contact when a slide tackle takes place:rolleyes:

john terry supposedly fouled the ref... so what abt ibrahimovic?? he bit.ched buffon like a mother. the refs are INCOSISTANT.
also, ronaldo and (i think) simao's penalties arent allowed. ronaldo CLEARLY stopped his run and it was definetley NOT a flowing motion

ok, u people say

"it wasn't a foul because Ricardo could had caught the ball but he jumped under Terry's arm..."

oh yeah, he could have gone THROUGH Terry and Campbell with he's super powers, and so he would catch the ball without getting fouled....

Ibrahimovics's goal was different Buffon wasn't in the six yard box.

FFS, the rule states that you can't use a COLLEAGUE to help you get to a ball.. That's what sol campbell did, Two infractions on one play. now shut the **** up retard.

monkee, i'm glad you've seen the truth

PS. Soccer IS a non-contact sport.
RUGBY, HOCKEY and FOOTBALL ARE CONTACT SPORTS

contact sports are sports where hitting the opposition is legal. It's obviously not legal in soccer/football

I'm suprised englishmen only talk about Campbell's doubtful goal when if what you say is true we had a clear goal not awarded.
