Presidential Elections

So America's ugly duckling is rearing its head with a vengeance. Yes, this election is suddenly become all about race. Of course almost nobody is saying it like that, but all this inferences about Barack's name, about his "terrorist' past, about how it is outrageous that Barack Hussein Obama could become president of the united states is....etc etc. Republicans at rallies asking for his head, saying that they are stunned that he might actually win, People not allowing others with Obama stickers to park in their parking lots, others saying how angry they are.....

This is really saddening to me, they might as well call it what it is and say it. We cant elect Barack because he is black and that makes a lot of us uncomfortable....I cant imagine that his life wont be attempted on should he be elected, with all this angry talk coming from the republican side.....

I'm not at all surprised that this is happening and I knew that it would start happening as we got closer and closer to voting time. The Republican Party is being absolutely pathetic right now. They have fallen behind so badly that they have to condone to personal attacks in order to feel like they're getting anywhere.

This whole Ayers situation is absolutely ridiculous. It's similar to how they tried to make it seem like Barack's former preacher was some crazy anti-American Nazi and that at one point in his like Obama actually listened to him! OH NO! What happened to that story? It just became dust in the wind because everyone realized that no matter how much "dirt" you dig up about Obama, he is still the far better candidate in this race.

Yeah, don't be surprised. Republicans have a history of dirty politics and voting records based on how candidates make them feel inside, so this was only expected.

You forgot when Palin said that Obama would lower the prestige of the office of the Presidency. The man has two Ivy Degrees, was President of the Harvard Law Review, and is a United States Senator. Tell me Governor Palin, aside from his race, what could you possibly be referring to?

DAVENPORT, Iowa (CNN) – A minister delivering the invocation at John McCain’s rally in Davenport, Iowa Saturday told the crowd non-Christian religions around the world were praying for Barack Obama to win the U.S. presidential election.

“There are millions of people around this world praying to their god—whether it’s Hindu, Buddha, Allah—that his opponent wins, for a variety of reasons. And Lord, I pray that you will guard your own reputation, because they’re going to think that their God is bigger than you, if that happens,” said Arnold Conrad, the former pastor of Grace Evangelical Free Church in Davenport.

The remark was made before McCain arrived at the rally but the Republican nominee's campaign quickly put out a statement distancing itself from the remarks.

“While we understand the important role that faith plays in informing the votes of Iowans, questions about the religious background of the candidates only serve to distract from the real questions in this race about Barack Obama's judgment, policies and readiness to lead as commander in chief,” said McCain campaign spokesperson Wendy Riemann.

This incident comes a day after a Minnesota voter asked Senator McCain if Barack Obama was an Arab at a town hall in Lakeville, Minnesota and just three days after Lehigh GOP County Chairman Bill Platt made a speech at a McCain rally in Pennsylvania where he refered to the Democrat nominee for president as Barack Hussein Obama.

Some people just need to be shot dead on the spot. And i don't feel bad for saying that. How do idiot like this ever become church leaders in the first place?

Also, i find it hard to believe that the Republicans had absolutely no idea what Conrad was going to say in his pre-rally speech.

The Legend
Hey Republicans and Democrats, thanks for screwing up our country. We really appreciate it.

How is it that Ralph Nader can never get elected, yet have a better legislative record and a more positive impact on America than the entirety of your two parties?

Dow's off 560, by the way.

McCain just called Barack Obama "Senator Government"

Ohhh McCain, started so well and went on strong attack early, got Obama even stumbling a bit and I actually thought that he might win this one, but by the end of it he faded more and more and the debate fell into more familiar tone. And Obama imo ended up as a winner yet again, McCain's mood was kinda summarized by his last stab at Obama on health care where he said something about vouchers and laughed at his own joke angrily.

Instead of watching the debate, I did a power hour. I feel like I made the right choice.

Hahaha good choice although I can't say I've ever done that. For some reason it seems lightweightish to me.

Help I agree with you about everything. I actually thought that McCain had the upper hand for a good portion of the debate but by the end of it he was back to being the same ol' McCain talking about his scars and his friends and not really saying anything with any substance what so ever.

Obama won this one too although not as clear of a win as the other two were.

Yup you two were right on, Mccain (like his Campaign) de-railed right at the point he started talking about Ayers and started getting all worked up about it...
