You guys stand no chance agains the ORANJE.

But nobody else in the group will pose much of a challenge and 2nd place qualifies automatically.

Petre is a little better than average as a right winger but nothing special.

I've noticed that Ogararu hasn't been mentioned in the first post where all the players are named
I know the coach wants to give him some rest for the next games Romania plays. That's because we (Ajax) play qualification rounds for the CL and the Dutch Supercup game a week later against PSV.
We will be having a tougher time against you guys then last time with Mutu added to the squad but in the end we will win
I believe both Romania and us will qualify for EC08.

Well believe me Ajax would not have bought him if that was the case but he will change his opinion soon enough once he starts playing for us
Tomorrow we play against Internazionale and saturday against Manchester United. On wednesday we face FC Kopenhagen for the qualification CL and
then next sunday against PSV for the Dutch supercup.. I'm sure he will get enough playingtime.

Honestly though it will be a hard group. The Dutch are favourites, you guys or Bulgaria should come second we would be happy not to flirt with the last place, but in Albania we can gett points out of anyone who is not called the Netherlands.

The list of Liga I players called up for friendly against Cyprus should be released soon since the 2nd matchday is over.

4 Steaua players called up (Marin, Dica, Nicolita, Paraschiv), unfortunately no Goian because of his injury yesterday , but he was on the roster up to that point so it means that Piturca likes him .

We lack a good right-midfielder. If Nicolita gets injuried or lacks form then we're ****ed.

We won with 4-0 against Rep of Ireland, 2 goals from Huntelaar and Robben and van Persie (with assist from Huntelaar)

Yeah, scored a goal and had this left foot volley with no first touch that the Cyprus keeper saved from under the bar. He was pretty active even though he was subbed at half time (well there were only 2 players that played 90 minutes ).

For me he is one of the best Romanian players in the squad along with Chivu (did he play?), Oprita (is he a national player?), Nicolita, Mitea, Dica.

Piturca would be a fool to leave Ogararu out of the squad again next time.
He played for us today and he was fantastic! Great defender, dangerous with the ball, fast and his technique is good.
When he has the ball it's almost impossible to steal the ball away from him and he does really nice things with the ball. Good passes, crosses and dribbling. For me he was one of the best, he played the whole match with Ajax next to Jaap Stam and they were dominant and boss in defense.

He didn't . Piturca has actually called him up for the Bulgaria and Albania matches which is fantastic news!! BTW kind of suprising to hear that he played in the center of defense, I don't think he ever did that at Steaua
