See, that's the problem with Stoichkov. He brings in new players every damn game. He's always "experimenting" and with his experiments, we didn't qualify for the world cup. He needs to pick his players and stick with them, make them feel like they're a team. And the Japan game, we pretty much got lucky to win that, look for it on youtube and you'll see, we really weren't the better side. I understand if we lost by 2-0 or so to Scotland but 5-1 is a little embarrasing.

you're right, it was crap. but i hope we'll do better in the euro qualifyers..

well, he is. he didn't play a lot of the games lately for a couple of reasons.
i guess his last game was Mexico - BG 0-3 in a freindly in USA.
then he missed BG - Turkey 3-1, because Stoichkov said, he wasn't in good shape :hit: , but then they cleared everything.
he missed the trip to Japan, but actually our best players missed that trip..
and then missed Wales, because the day after that he played for the under 21 suqad in Kiev and scored 2 for 3-0 win.

i think you haven't read about the conditions for this match, that i posted a few posts back, but i guess you might talk whatever you want :drevil:

btw, i remember your team losing from even younger and more unexperienced team of scotland, than the one our substitute players played with.. i think it was a play-off for some tournament, you lost with a goal by darren fletcher i guess, and it was pretty funny, some shot from around the corner, went even between van der saar's feet or something.. i remember it was awkward, because you were playing with all the overpaid stars (davids, seedorf and co.), and the scottish teenagers beated you. :corn:

Just read on Ajax Network that Ogararu has not been selected for both games Romania plays. According to Piturca he's not 'good enough' big mistake if you ask me but I'm sure there are better players than George Ogararu in that position. Still I've seen him play like you guys in Bucharest and he impressed me.

He got selected in the first place and this morning he got a fax that he was dropped because "he didn't estabilish a regular place at his club" . Oh come on, he played in the Supercup and in the Eredivisie, missed the matches against FCK and that's not enough? Contra must be bribing Piturca or paying him regular visits cause I really don't understand. If Contra doesn't score a hat-trick against Bulgaria then I'll rip off his page from the Romanian Football Encyclopedia .

Cosmin Contra is old and slow + if Ogararu got left home for not being a regular then what's he doing at the nt, when was he a regular at WBA, Atletico or Getafe? And Petre Marin is pretty good but would be Ogararu's sub anyday, infact he even was until George got at Ajax.

Contra's crosses go straight to Mutu and Niculae's head...Ogararu's crosses... and Ogararu is not so experienced like Contra.

You say this just because he was born in Timisoara and played there for like 6 months. How many times have you watched Ogararu? I've watched all of his games in the last seasons at Steaua and even all of his games at Ajax until now and I can say that he has great crosses for a right-back. Contra had great crosses too but his time is long gone. As much as Piturca wants to refreshen him I think he's 3 years too late.

i read about this whole story of the romanian players from outter Divizia A. You should be lucky though, Piturca didn't put in some other players, like ientschi and a guy from fc moskva, and somebody else there too..(sorry, forgot the names)
HOWEVER: i guess it's a huge mistake bringiin in playerslike this guy Rosu! how old is he then?!? i mean, if he isn't under 25, then it's worthless to bring him- he playes since 2000 in your nt, i guess (i think, he was in euro 2000, right!??) what's he doin still here then?! you got so many midfielders in romania, i guess, you shouldn't call players from abroad, when you got more talented and even younger players playing in romanian teams!
the situation with ogararu: lto be honest, i'm glad. you know why.

I don't consider Spartak Moskva as "s*tty eastern european team"
i actually would call Serif tiraspol a "s*tty eastern european team", which would automatically withdrawn this guy Cocis into the ****list
no, to be honest i haven't ever herad this guy Cocis (is he good enough?!?), but Spartak seems to be way better and known team than Sherif! :drevil:
It's another thing, whether your player in Spartak is always substitute, and the other in Sherif - not, but i guess Piturca's the one to decide, so.. :corn:

btw, Dinamo B played aorund here their Uefa cup tie yesterday.

Actually i consider all valuable players that decide to go east ... stupid ...
You make a lot of money, but your career stops there ... look at Cernat, Ghioane, Rat + the others in the turkish league ... Why did Neaga chose to go in the South Coreean Championship ... i have no idea ... for the money probably, but he's lost so much cause of his choice ... the place in the national team ...

For example Marica got transferred to Shaktar touted the new romanian hope and we get to hear of him only when he scores a goal or two (he doesn't get more than 15 games & 3 goals per season). Look where he got to, 3 seasons just screwed like that, you never know what would have happened with him if he chose his new team 2 years ago with his brain not with his wallet (well he's an ex-Dinamo player so the 1st option may not be always available).

Edit: Yet he still gets regularly called to the nt even though just to fill the list of players, rarely gets to play. And that extra spot could be useful sometimes, at least get a player there that's fit and ready for action in case of an injury.
