I don't think she wants to be friends with you at first if her intentions are more towards the passionate side. She wants to be closer, but the type of convos will be different. It's all about the cat and mouse game, sending hints, interpreting her signs, that type of ****.
Which goes back to what was said before: when the girls start with the friend&confident conversations you crossed the line...

I have very good friends who happen to be women. Not many, but I have them.
We don't ignore the sex part (we do have magnificent sex-related convos) but it's just another issue to talk about, like politics or life in general. At least these 2 girls are pretty smart and racional. I should mention, though, that they're both ex-colleagues from work.
Having a female perspective on your problems is just great and I recommend it!

im kinda in the same situation as crouchinator but with one difference, ive known this girl for about 6 months, since uni started last september, so we've been friends now for about 6 months, we're not best friends or anything, more just uni buddies, see each other on campus, in our lectures and tutorials etc and hang out....

i asked her out initially after meeting her first, well not immediately, after i got to know her a bit, she said ''maybe'' as i remember and after that i sorta just left it, i wasnt bummed about it, i didnt mind that much, we still continued to be friends and i got with another girl after that anyhow, thats over now though(wasnt serious, we were just makeout buddies i guess)...

recently though i've started to get a major crush on her again, shes not in many of my classes nowadays which sucks but i still have a soft spot for her, last friday we were together and i was gona just tell her that i really liked her and had a crush on her blabla, moreso tbh just coz it was doing my head in, i just wanted to get it off my shoulders..but alas i bottled it when i tried to, i told her i'd see her monday and that we'd talk, she sorta knows sumit is up now though but shes cool, shes laidback in general....

the longer it goes the harder it gets is very true so when i see her on monday ill get a coffee with her and just tell her what i think, i really hope it wont ruin our friendship coz shes good fun to be with but we're not bestest buds so no biggie i guess....

sorry, i dont mean to hijack your thread crouchinator, it just struck a chord with me when i read it, if i was you i'd just try and talk to her, dont tell her you have a crush on her etc, get to know her a bit 1st...

The girlfriend I have been going out with for 9 months, I knew her a month before we started going out. You could tell right from the get go that the conversations we has were not going to lead to just a friendship so I asked her out.
I also have this girl who's my best friend, which is a big help. She's almost like my relationship counsler, like INFESTA said to get a female perspective on things, which has really helped my relationship and completely saved it on one occasion.

Here is my advice buddy, we've all been in those situations and sadly most of em we can say haven't turned out how we have wanted them to. It's really more got to do with you (and her) than anything. You're best bet of getting her to like you is just getting to know her first of all by making small talk, like many others that have said this. Try to be in good spirits when you approach her, feel confident because you DO deserve someone like her.

First of all stop reffering to them as "chicks" they are people too, call them bitches or whores they like that better

Say things to her like "you look fat today" and "damn bitch! you ugly" that will make her want you. You see women want what they can't get.

Not neccessarily. I knew the girl i'm in a relationship now for 2 years before we got together. During that time she'd gotten in & out of a relationship that pretty much messed her up bad. During that time I was her friend, confidante whatever. In fact I think its the breakup that actually brought us close. So just cause you're in the friend stage doesnt spell the end of things

The girl I talked about turned out to be a bi-sexual and she used to have a girlfriend, they are still "friends".

Oh yeah, I'm a ******* idiot. We went to a gig together yesterday. I had all sorts of romantic ideas what to do and say but she got drunk too fast, I thought I'd use the situation but then I got drunk too, so yeah. I'm still not giving up on her
